Mike began his career with Conoco Inc. in 1982 and served in various positions including financial analysis, internal reviews, joint interest accounting, negotiation of agreements, and settlements of joint interest and revenue disputes. Mike joined Martindale Consultants, Inc. in 1995, and with his vast knowledge and experience in joint venture accounting, Mike has provided the additional foundation to manage and provide clients with exceptional quality in compliance reviews. Mike is considered a prominent authority on Gulf of Mexico joint venture accounting issues and has performed international reviews in Australia, Barbados, and Brazil.

Sandra Dunphy has more than 30 years of experience working with energy companies in North and South America, Europe and Asia and is nationally recognized as a Renewable Identification Number (RIN) expert within the United States renewable fuels industry. With a practice specialization in Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) compliance and fuels consulting, Sandra brings extensive technical experience and knowledge to each of her clients. The U.S. House of Representatives Energy & Commerce Committee invited Sandra to speak as an expert witness at their hearing on RINs in August 2018.  She has also provided expert witness testimony before the U.S. International Trade Commission. 

Sandra is a member of the Advanced Biofuels Association and the Renewable Natural Gas Coalition. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Delaware. She joined Weaver in 2011 when Weaver acquired LT Hawthorne & Associates, an EPA fuels consulting company. 

Greg has more than 15 years of risk advisory experience, primarily at a big four firm, with a focus on assisting clients with meeting their regulatory compliance requirements, optimizing their internal control environment and designing value-driven internal audit plans.  Greg’s experience includes leading large-scale, global outsourced internal audit and SOX functions, working closely with Accounting functions on SOX co-source engagements, supporting subject-matter internal audits, designing enterprise risk management programs from the ground-up, conducting various types of risk assessments and leading other risk-based special projects.

Malik has more than sixteen years of IT Advisory Services experience at KPMG with a focus on Data Analytics and Blockchain. He is the KPMG US Digital Ledger Services Director and a highly sought after speaker.

Gary has nearly a decade of audit and consulting experience specializing in state and local tax. He has worked on both sides of the table as a third party contract auditor and also as a consultant at a public accounting firm. He has also worked alongside, and on behalf of, state unclaimed property administrators. Gary’s services to his clients consist of advocating for them during audit examinations, assisting with their entrance into state voluntary compliance programs and working with them to establish initial compliance with the states.

Nathen McEown serves as the Partner in Charge of the Houston office and Co-Leader of the firm’s Energy Industry Group. Nathen has more than 13 years of audit and consulting public accounting experience representing public and private clients primarily in the oil & gas oilfield service, energy upstream, midstream, and manufacturing industries. Nathen has consulting experience including; SOX internal control implementation, back-office outsourced oil and gas accounting, acquisition on-boarding and accounting clean up, stock option compensation calculations, drafting SEC filings, and accounting for other complex transactions.

Steve is a native of Concord, California and a Cal Berkeley Graduate earning his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1976. He joined Chevron in 1977 at Chevron’s Richmond Refinery and worked his first 10 years in Chevron’s Hawaiian Refinery and in Pipeline Engineering / Operations. He has also held key management positions throughout the company including:

• He started up and served as General Mgr. for Chevron’s Project Resources Company supporting worldwide projects.

• Director and General Manager of the Caltex Refinery in Cape Town, South Africa.
• Congo’s Country Mgr for Chevron Overseas Exploration & Production based in Pointe Noire, Congo.
