Rehana Anait Partner PwC Rehana Anait has over 15 years of experience working with regulators and international financial services institutions. She began her career at the UK Regulator - The Financial Services Authority (FSA) in 2000 where she successfully assisted with development of the supervisory risk assessment framework. She then spent a number of years supervising banking and capital markets institutions for compliance with regulatory requirements. In 2005 she joined the PwC London Banking and Capital Markets (B&CM) Regulatory Practice where she led the delivery of large regulatory compliance and conduct risk design and implementation projects, these included re-engineering organizational operating models, three lines of defense structures and providing clients with regulatory advice. Rehana also spent 5 years in the PwC financial services Internal Audit (IA) practice where she successfully managed and delivered multiple outsourcing and co-sourcing contracts to both mid-tier and large banks. She also became an expert in the delivery of IA Quality Assurance Reviews and Global Audit Methodology Transformation projects. During this time she also led PwC London’s focus on Conduct and Culture and is now leading the Conduct and Culture team here in New York. | |
Stephanie Brescia Manager PwC Stephanie Brescia is the NYM Talent Consultant for the Internal Audit, Compliance and Risk Management Solutions (ICRS) group within the Risk Assurance practice at PwC. Stephanie has been with PwC for over 15 years and has served in various roles throughout her career. Stephanie began her PwC career in client service within the Data Management Group within the Advisory practice where she assisted clients with their Data Analysis needs. She then transferred into the Risk Assurance client service practice where she focused on IT Audit for Entertainment, Media and Communications clients. From there, Stephanie was selected for an internal PwC project where she spent 18 months focused on process improvement for the firm. During that time, Stephanie became Six Sigma Green Belt certified. Stephanie then built on her career in the Finance/Operations space and spent time as a Finance Manager focused on Operations, Budgeting/Forecasting and Deployment for the Risk Assurance practice. Stephanie has been the NYM Talent Consultant for the ICRS practice since 2015. In the Talent Consultant role, Stephanie helps to drive and execute PwC’s people strategy, creates a unique people experience for each individual, and supports the Firm wide values by working with the core competencies that measure and drive individual and Firm wide success in the marketplace. Her day to day focuses on coaching and development, talent and performance management, employee relations and effectively implementing diversity initiatives. | |
Alison Brown Director PwC Alison Brown is a Director with PwC’s Pharma Life Sciences practice with more than ten years of experience in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry. Allison has worked with several large pharmaceutical clients on commercial and customer engagement compliance monitoring programs and has led a global commercial compliance program, focusing on the identification of pharmacovigilance, healthcare compliance, and privacy risk in digital marketing channels. Allison works closely with compliance organizations within pharma manufacturing companies, including internal audit, digital marketing, quality assurance, and R&D clinical data quality management team to identify regulatory and operational risk, and assess control structure. Allison specializes in bringing together the diverse universe of risk relevant to the pharma industry, including FDA regulatory risk, post-market pharmacovigilance and safety information reporting requirements, healthcare compliance, privacy, and SOX, among others. | |
Jessica Dow Senior Manager PwC Jessica Dow is currently a Senior Manager in PwC’s Sustainability Services practice. Jess focuses on the Future of Reporting, including advising clients on their environmental and social strategies, and pre-assurance and assurance engagements for corporate sustainability reporting. Jess has worked on a variety of projects related to greenhouse gas emissions, energy, water, waste, diversity, health & safety, community giving, and responsible sourcing (specifically related to responsible diamond sourcing and Conflict Minerals legislation). Jess leads the conflict minerals practice at PwC and has facilitated coordination across the US on opportunities and engagements related to Dodd-Frank 1502 regulation. She leads multiple conflict minerals programs ranging from intensive training with executives to yearlong program coordination with business units. In 2017, Jess was the US representative on the global PwC team to support the U.N. Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, and GRI, the world’s leading organization for sustainability reporting, to create a mechanism to help businesses prioritize and report on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Jess was the lead manager supporting the publication Business Reporting on the SDGs: An Analysis of the Goals and Targets, which contains a list of disclosures and suggested actions for business to take to advance the SDGs. It also explores the potential gaps and is a first step towards helping business to report on the SDGs in a comparable and effective way. Jess continues to lead thought leadership on the SDGs in the US, most recently contributing to the PwC Global publication, SDG Reporting Challenge 2018, and is currently working on the next release, SDG Reporting Challenge 2019. | |
Seamus Flaherty Senior Manager PwC Seamus Flaherty is a Senior Manager with PwC's Customs & International Trade Practice and is based in New York. He advises US and multinational companies on various issues related to customs compliance and import-related duty, tax and fee savings opportunities. Seamus helps clients navigate the statutory, regulatory and practical requirements related to topics such as tariff classification, customs valuation, preferential trade programs, and trusted trader programs. Seamus also assists companies in assessing savings opportunities and implementing transactional structures to realize savings using regimes such as duty drawback, first sale for export, foreign trade zones, and various bonded scenarios. Seamus is a lawyer and previously served as a judicial law clerk at the US Court of International Trade. At the Court, Seamus assisted the judges for whom he clerked in ruling on appeals brought from proceedings before US Customs and Border Protection, the Department of Commerce, the International Trade Commission and the Department of Labor. He previously served as Chair of the International Trade Committee of the New York City Bar Association. | |
Karla Hernandez Martinez Manager PwC Karla Hernandez Martinez is currently a Manager at PwC's Risk Assurance practice. Karla has over 6 years of experience within PwC focusing on the Pharma/Life Sciences industry, GxP compliance audits, and Third Party Assurance engagements. She currently serves in a PMO role for pharm-tech solutions clients, focusing on the identification of regulatory gaps, controls design and process implementation to GxP regulatory areas such as 21 CFR Part 11, quality management systems, and data quality guidance. Concurrently, Karla also serves as the PMO of a Risk Management program for one of PwC’s largest pharmaceutical clients covering pharmacovigilance, healthcare compliance and privacy risks (inclusive of GDPR). | |
Sachin Mandal Partner PwC Sachin Mandal is currently a Principal in the New York Metro practice with over 20 years of experience in automating controls, internal and external audits. His experiences were gained through a culmination of large scale SAP and Workday implementations at retail, consumer packaged goods and manufacturing companies. Sachin lead the development of the robot that enabled testing of the vendor master data controls and is currently working with clients in identifying opportunities for automation. Sachin worked on a client that implemented a ERP and he assisted the client in standardizing controls and identifying opportunities for automation through the ERP and other emerging technologies. Sachin has worked on a large manufacturing company assisting them with the design, build and testing security and controls and the GRC technologies to enable the client to create a more standardized and automated controls environment Sachin has his bachelor of accounting science from the University of South Africa and is a Chartered Accountant (Australia and Zimbabwe) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). | |
Kyle Rauch Senior Associate PwC Kyle Rauch is an Senior Associate based in the New York office in the Cybersecurity and Privacy practice. Kyle has supported several engagements in support of GDPR/CCPA readiness and compliance strategy. Her experience includes developing privacy programs and governance models along with managing reporting on privacy gap assessments across multiple sectors. Fallon’s organizational design work focuses on customized frameworks to facilitate operational efficiency in privacy management and GDPR readiness assessments. Alain Schnetzer Director PwC Alain Schnetzer is a customs and international trade subject-matter expert with a strong focus on Global Trade automation.
