Our workshop on Friday, October 18, 2019, will be hosted by PwC and cover a range of emerging risks and hot topics to help you stay on top of the latest topics relevant to a high performing audit functions and individual practicioners.
The workshop will include a session on digital innovation and the proper application of digital technology to enable Internal Audit to help their organization build confidence at scale by automating intelligently, continuously managing and monitoring risk and driving costs out of compliance through Cloud solutions transformation.
The morning session will also feature a panel of PwC’s Internal Audit practitioners, leaders and Human Resources representation to discuss Internal Audit talent in the digital age and share insights into PwC’s own digital transformation journey.
Directly following lunch, PwC will host an exciting session on individual wellness and mindfulness, encouraging participants to reflect on the importance of managing their energy to cultivate a mindful and impactful leadership presence, including strategies they can use to manage stress and focus, key skills for a leader to have in a world with so many competing demands
Throughout the day, the PwC internal audit professionals and subject matter specialists will explore several hot topics and areas of potential internal audit focus, including:
- Culture and the use of organizational data, developed metrics and enhanced testing techniques to enable culture and behavior to be assessed in a credible way
- Environmental and social risks associated with your company’s activities
- Recent changes in global trade policies and regulatory requirements
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) focus areas
