7:30-10:00 Go to Huangguoshu Waterfalls Scenic Area by Bus

After breakfast, we will take a tour bus to Huangguoshu Scenic Area, which is one of the first batch of both national key scenic spots and 5A-level scenic spots in China.


10:00-11:00 Tianxing Bridge “Potted Landscape” on Water

The 'Potted Landscape' is on and along both sides of Sancha River (三岔河). It is called 'Potted Landscape' because wind and water erosion has carved and shaped the karst limestone to make it look like potted plants, of various shapes and sizes. Trees and plants growing on the rocks make them even more like potted plants. It is lovely to walk across the river on winding stone paths, zigzagging through the rocky hills. The stones are called Birthday Stones, for there are 365 stones in total, and everyone can find their birthday on the stone paths. If you find yours, remember to take a photo and make a wish.


11:00-12:00 Doupotang Waterfall

Doupotang Waterfall is located at about one kilometer away of the upstream of Huangguoshu Waterfall. It is 105 meters wide of the top, which is the widest one in Huangguoshu Waterfall Group with the height of 21 meters. On the top of Doupotang Waterfall, there is a huge melting pool with an area of 15,000 square meters, formed on a calcified beach dam with a length of more than 100 meters. Moreover, Doupotang Waterfall is also called “the roaring waterfall”, as whenever the flood comes, the waterfall will make a roar sounds like thunder. It is also famous for being the necessary place for the journey of the four monks of Tang Dynasty in the famous Chinese classic novel - Journey to the West.

13:30-15:00 Huangguoshu Falls Sightseeing

Huangguoshu Falls, located in Anshun City, Guizhou Province, China, is the tallest waterfall in Asia at 255ft (77.8m) high and 331ft (101m) wide. It’s name, ‘Huangguoshu’, literally translate to ‘yellow fruit tree’. The falls and the surrounding area form ‘Huangguoshu Waterfall National Park’, which is rated by the Chinese Tourism board as AAAAA, the highest available grading for a scenic area. The area has a moderate climate, with an average temperature of 60 degrees Fahrenheit (16 degrees Celsius) and importantly, fresh air.

7:20-11:00 Tianhe Pool Scenic Area

23 kilometers (14.3 miles) away from the southwest suburb of Guiyang in Guizhou Province, the Tianhe Pool Scenic Area combines waterfalls, crystal springs, deep pools, stone bridges, unusual caves, and strange rock formations. This scenic area is a typical Karst cave that features a stone curtain plus a great number of stalagmites, stalactites, and stone pillars. It occupies an area of 15 square kilometers (5.8 square miles). The scenic area is an outstanding tourist destination, full of beautiful natural scenery and cultural displays. Tianhe Pool Scenic Area was originally a large crypt, and the pool formed as water accumulated at the bottom. Full of clear rivers, hidden caves, silos, cliffs, and stone bridges, the area can be divided into three parts: the Water Cave, the Drought Cave, and the Outer Scenic Area.

13:30-15:00 Qingyan Ancient Town

Qingyan Ancient Town is one of the four ancient towns in Guizhou Province. It is located in Huaxi District of Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, 40 minutes drive from the center of Guiyang city. As the first national AAAAA tourist attraction in Guiyang City, it was orginally built in 1378 with a long history of more than 600 years. Dating back to the beginning of the Ming Dynasty (1368--1644), Qingyan town was built for military reasons. Because of its geographical location, Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of Ming Dynasty, established it as a station for transferring military messages and to house a standing army. Through years of modification and repeated restoration, Qingyan Ancient Town has gradually become a distinctive ancient town with cultural features of Ming and Qing Dynasties (1644 - 1911). Qingyan Ancient Town is really a fantastic place for visitors to learn about Chinese ancient culture.
