Transport from the Airport to the Meeting Venue

From Dublin Airport, you can take an Aircoach bus or taxi to Dublin City Centre.

 


Aircoach offers a fast and frequent service from the Arrivals Road at Dublin Airport.

All travel times are available to view via http://www.aircoach.ie/. If you are taking the aircoach from Dublin Airport to Dublin City Centre please ensure you get on the Leopardstown/Sandyford bus route. This route will stop on Leeson Street Lower which is approximately two minute walk to the Conrad Hotel.

A one way ticket from the airport to Dublin city centre costs 7 Euros. Tickets can be purchased from the driver on the coach or the Customer Service Team at Dublin Airport, and are available to purchase online via the Aircoach link above up to 5pm before the day of travel.

The Aircoach stops at Leeson Street Lower in the city centre. From here it is a two minute walk to the Conrad Hotel. Please see below link to map.
 

Taxi: Taxis can pick up passengers outside all arrival areas. A taxi from the airport to the Conrad Hotel costs approximately 30 Euros and the driving time is approximately 20/30 minutes, depending on the time of day and traffic. Ask the taxi driver to take you to The Conrad Hotel, Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin 2.

From the hotel, you can walk to a number of sights in Dublin City Centre, including St. Stephens Green and the Iveagh Gardens. There are also a variety of nearby restaurants to choose from and the popular shopping area of Grafton Street.


Currency
 
The currency in Ireland is Euro. However, you can also pay using international credit cards in most places.
 
Time
 
Ireland is in the Western European Time Zone. Western European Standard Time (WET) is the same as Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
Like most countries in Europe, Summer (Daylight-saving) Time is observed in Ireland, where the time is shifted forward by one hour; one hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+1).
After the Summer months the time in Ireland is shifted back by one hour to Western European Time (WET) or (GMT).
 
Climate
 
Dublin has a maritime temperate climate, and less rainfall than the rest of the emerald isle, although winters are still very wet and showers are common all year round. The wettest month, December, averages 76mm of rainfall. Summers in Dublin are cool and pleasant, temperatures in July peaking at around 68F (20C), the most sunshine being experienced in May and June.
