Alabama Hall of Fame

The Alabama Boys & Girls Club Hall of Fame (HOF) is open to any retired individual who has provided exceptional service to a Boys & Girls Clubs in Alabama. This includes Club membership, board or volunteer service or service of any kind which directly benefited one or more Alabama Clubs. A maximum of eight people will be inducted each year, for the first three years.

Applications are due on the identified date and the selected inductee(s) will be notified prior to our Area Council meeting. Inductees will receive two tickets to the enshrinement ceremony and can purchase additional tickets for guests.

Outstanding Achievement Award - Board Member of the Year

This award is designed to recognize a board volunteer who has rendered unusually devoted service to his/her local Boys & Girls Club organization as well as to the Area Council. The recipient will be nominated for the Southeast Region Outstanding Achievement Award.

Outstanding Achievement Award - Beverly Burton New Board Member of the Year

This award is designed to recognize a new board volunteer who has rendered unusually devoted service to his/her local Boys & Girls Club organization. Nominees should have served on the board for at least one full year, but no more than three years.

High Performance Board Team of the Year Award

This award is designed to recognize the Board of Directors of a local Boys & Girls Club organization who has achieved excellence, as a team, in the areas of Marketing, Resource Development, Planning and Outreach to unserved youth.

Professional of the Year Award

Presented to a dedicated full-time management or youth development Club professional who has made a significant impact in the lives of children and can be a role model for other Boys & Girls Club professionals.

Program Awards for Excellence
These awards provide your organization with an opportunity to receive recognition for the outstanding programs that you offer members. Program Awards will be presented in the following core program areas:

- Character & Leadership Development

- Education & Career Development

- Health & Life Skills

- Sports, Fitness & Recreation

- The Arts

- Overall Program

CARE Award

This award is given to an individual or business not directly affiliated with a Club organization (such as serving on the governing body or Club staff), but has provided outstanding in-kind or direct support to their local Boys & Girls Clubs.
