Staffan leads BNY Mellon Markets’ collateral management business globally. He joined BNY Mellon as product manager for EMEA collateral management in 1998 and was involved in the original development of the equity tri-party platform in Europe. His role expanded to head of product management and sales and marketing for collateral management in EMEA. He also took on responsibility for collateral management product oversight in APAC. When BNY Mellon Markets was formed, he was appointed to lead the strategy for collateral optimization and collateral management product in EMEA and APAC. He was promoted to his current position in 2017. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Staffan worked at The Northern Trust for four years with responsibility for European based fund managers. Staffan holds a masters degree in Economics from Umea University, Sweden and has studied at the Stockholm School of Economics and the Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen. He also has a postgraduate degree in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics. Staffan represents BNY Mellon at the International Capital Market Association (ICMA).

Nancy Allen

Nancy Allen is global product owner of DataLend, the securities finance market data division of EquiLend. Allen has more than 18 years of experience in the securities finance market across client types, geographies and roles. As global product owner, she has responsibility for the strategic development and growth of the DataLend product including the management of the product specialist team responsible for the client experience. Allen joined DataLend from Northern Trust, where most recently she was senior vice president and head of international fixed income securities lending trading, based in London. Previously, Allen held various positions in securities finance at Northern Trust, State Street and Deutsche Bank. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Managerial Economics from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Harpreet Bains is Global Head of Product Management in the Agent Lending Group of Investor Services at J.P Morgan. Harpreet has been in the securities lending business for 12 years, and in her current position based in London, she is responsible for the ongoing management and execution of the product, including strategy and financial performance. Her role involves working closely with sales and relationship management to deliver securities lending solutions to clients. She began her career in J.P Morgan in 1999, and since joining she has held various roles. Prior to securities lending, she spent 5 years as an internal auditor for Investor Services, and before audit, she worked as a legal entity financial controller with coverage of the European entities. Harpreet holds a first class Honours degree in Business and Financial Services.

Dean Bruyns joined the Message Automation division of Broadridge in August 2017. In his role as Senior Product Manager, his responsibility is to assist in developing their regulatory reporting coverage to include SFTR. He is a securities finance and collateral management professional with well over a decade of trading and operational experience across global securities finance markets. As well as a 13 year career in securities finance at MF Global, Mr Bruyns worked at Louis Capital, ING, Paine Webber and originally in law at Tatham Wilkes & Co, a private practise in his native South Africa.

Richard Colvill

Richard began his career at Northern Trust Global Investors in 1990 and in 1996 moved to their Stock Lending and Repo department as an administrator, before managing the start-up of various businesses including a cash management program and a Fixed Income fund management desk.  Richard then took a lead role in the development and implementation of a new proprietary Stock Lending trading and operations platform, which elevated Northern Trust’s ability to service their clients and increase their product diversification in the market.  Since leaving Northern Trust in 2007 Richard has worked with a variety of clients managing complex projects and has used his deep knowledge of the securities financing industry and experience in delivering solutions to help clients improve their businesses. Richard considers himself a subject matter expert in operational process design and optimisation, business analysis and project delivery.  Richard was appointed as Project Manager in 2008 when Aviva Investors acquired 4sight as their vendor of choice, to provide and support their Securities Finance Trading and Operations system, and has remained on Aviva’s PFL (preferred suppliers list) as consultant for new project initiatives and implementation, thereafter.  Since finishing at Aviva Investors in early 2015 Richard has gained further in-depth experience in the support of multiple 4sight clients with their system on-boarding through the provision of business analysis, project management and testing services.

During a 20-year career in investment banking, Todd held a number senior sales & trading roles in Prime Brokerage, Equity Finance and Derivatives at PaineWebber, ING, Deutsche Bank and Nomura. In his last sell-side role, Todd was Head of Equity Finance Trading & Liquidity Management at Nomura in London. More recently, Todd acted as advisor to a major European exchange in developing its secured finance trading platform. Having joined Pirum Systems in 2017 as Head of Client Innovation, one of Todd’s major focus areas has been spearheading the development of Pirum’s new CollateralConnect platform, a collateral management solution for the market.

Sunil maintains oversight of Northern Trust’s transition management sales and relationship management teams across EMEA and APAC. Sunil was employed at Northern Trust Global Investments Limited. Sunil joined Northern Trust in 2002 and held a number of roles based in London and Hong Kong. He served as Head of Client Service and Sales for Northern Trust’s Capital Markets group in EMEA and APAC. Sunil has been Chairman for the Pan Asian Securities Lending Association (PASLA), He has a B.Sc. (Economics) with Honours from the London School of Economics, University of London, where he majored in Accounting & Finance.

 
Andrew Dyson

In June 2016, Andrew became the CEO of the International Securities Lending Association (ISLA) after serving 3 years as their Chief Operating Officer. Previously, Andrew held the role of Director Specialist Sales and Head of Account Management, Europe, Middle East and Africa at Data Explorers, now Markit Securities Finance, where he was instrumental in the development of the group’s securities lending risk services as well as day to day responsibility for the groups business in Europe. Andy joined Data Explorers from Prudential M&G, where he was Head of Business Development and Risk for Securities Lending with responsibility for sales, marketing and product development. He was also directly responsible for Risk and the management of the team’s discrete IT resources. All aspects of legal and compliance also fell within his area of responsibility. Prior to his appointment at M&G Prudential Andrew had worked at Deutsche Bank for ten years. During his time at Deutsche he held senior marketing and product development positions within the Agency Securities Lending Business and also spent four years as Repo Product Manager where he was instrumental in the development of the banks fixed income repo franchise including the deployment of front-office risk management tools. He was also was heavily involved in the deployment of e commerce solutions for both clients and counterparts. He joined Deutsche in 1992 from HSBC, where he had previously worked extensively in the commercial bank and corporate finance areas of the business.

Pierre Khemdoudi is a managing director and Global Head of Equities, Data and Analytics products at IHS Markit.  His responsibilities include securities finance data and regulatory reporting, ETF and index aggregation (DeltaOne), and dividend forecasting. He has a proven track record in securities finance and DeltaOne internationally, delivering customizable, timely and accurate solutions for the investment management community. Mr Khemdoudi spent ten years at BNP Paribas Arbitrage in a number of senior positions across Paris, New York, Tokyo and London prior to joining IHS Markit (previously Markit) in February 2013. These included, head of London securities finance trading and head of Tokyo securities lending. He began his career working in aerospace engineering.

Craig Laird is an Executive Director in the Transaction Reporting Operations function at Morgan Stanley. As well as leading the SFTR Programme across Morgan Stanley, and operating as the Chair of the ICMA SFTR Task Force, Craig is also responsible for the remediation of reporting issues across a range of global jurisdictions and asset classes. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley Craig worked on the Prime Finance desk at HSBC, where the products traded included the majority of those within the scope of SFTR.

 
Jonathan Lee

Jonathan is an expert in a number of regulatory regimes in the transaction reporting, trade reporting, liquidity reporting and prudential supervisory space and spearheads Kaizen’s SFTR service offering.  He has 20 years of front-to-back investment banking experience including 11 years at JP Morgan. Jonathan’s focus over the past five years has been on the emergence of new regulations covering securities financing, money market reporting and collateral reuse. In this capacity, he has been closely engaged with the FSB, ESMA, ECB and Bank of England and has been at the forefront of educational and advocacy efforts in the forthcoming Securities Financing Transaction Reporting (SFTR) regime. Jonathan is a former chair of both the ICMA ERCC SFTR Taskforce and AFME Primary Dealers Reporting group.

The range of roles, combined with the breadth of experience in client facing positions, has provided David with a unique perspective on the securities finance market. Now with FIS as Global Head of Astec Analytics and Regulatory SME for the Securities Finance Business, David continues to work across client and technology boundaries to help move the industry forward. Prior to RBS, Mackay was the European Department Manager for Prime Services at Deutsche Bank, Section Head for Finance Operations at Citigroup International and Securities Lending Collateral Manager at Nomura. Other engagements include 13 years at Barclays in Prime Services IT and securities lending roles at both Daiwa Securities and Prime One Solutions (now part of IHS Markit). Matthew has held many positions within securities finance and prime services technology, covering team management, application ownership and programme management, having started out as a developer on the stock loan desk at Daiwa. Specializing in trade reporting and risk management, Mark has lead numerous projects through transformation and change management since 2014.    Mark’s career started in the Royal Navy as an aircraft engineer, and then he held various positions at UBS, National Australia Bank, and more recently Sapient. At Sapient, Mark co-led its regulatory reporting practice and engagements on CFTC and EMIR reporting.  Mark holds a Bachelors in Electronic and Computer Engineering from Leeds University, UK, and an MBA from the Melbourne Business School, Australia.

Leveraging the largest and deepest inventory and loan data set in the industry including twelve years of historical data, IHS Securities Finance provides solutions that helps improve transparency and drives performance.  Paul joined IHS Markit in June 2018, after spending 33 years at JPMorgan, latterly leading the Agent Lending Global Product and Portfolio Advisory team. Paul is recognised industry leader and a frequent speaker and industry commentator who in 2017 co-chaired a Bank of England industry group to develop the UK Money Markets code.

 
Matthew Wolfe

In his prior role, Mr. Wolfe managed and worked with the team responsible for launching new exchanges, options and futures products, as well as services for participant exchanges. He joined OCC in 2000 as a Specialist in Collateral Services.   Mr. Wolfe received a Masters in Financial Markets from the Illinois Institute of Technology, a B.S. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is also a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute at the Wharton School of Business.

Valentino (Val) Wotton is Managing Director of DTCC Deriv/SERV, with responsibility for product development and strategy. In this role, Wotton leads efforts to identify opportunities to enhance all of DTCC’s derivatives products and services to meet the evolving operational and regulatory compliance needs of its global client base and helping the firm to innovate around the core principles of automation, standardization and utilization.  Prior to joining DTCC, Val served as Global Head of Markets Post Trade Services and Europe Markets Operations at Barclays, with oversight for derivatives, securities, futures and clearing. There, he was responsible for the implementation of a strategic global operational model to provide improved service capabilities to clients and internal businesses as well as the design and delivery of an enhanced strategic architecture to achieve automation, process improvement and risk management objectives. Previously, Val held several senior roles at Citigroup.  During his career, Wotton has served on a number of Boards and committees, including DTCC’s Deriv/SERV Board, LCH OTC Deriv Net, and the International Swaps & Derivatives Organization’s (ISDA) Market Infrastructure & Technology Committee. Val holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Nottingham Trent University.
