Ute Asmus - Research Manager at AirPlus

Ute Asmus joined AirPlus International 6 years ago as head of market research. At AirPlus International she is responsible for all local and international market research projects including their analysis and conversion into actionable results, papers and reports.

Dean Forbes - Chief Executive Officer at KDS

As CEO Dean is responsible for KDS' Strategy and Operations. Having originally joined KDS as EVP for Worldwide Sales and Marketing, Dean transformed the KDS offering by leading the development of new products, the KDS partner programme and a number of marketing initiatives which lead to record breaking performance in 2010.

Before joining KDS, Dean Forbes worked for the IT giant Oracle, where he was Group Vice President for project and portfolio management solutions on a worldwide basis, whilst also participating on Oracles UK Executive committee. In this role Dean was one of the youngest Vice Presidents in the Oracle's recent history. Prior to the company being acquired by Oracle in 2008, Dean had previously led international sales and commercial activity at Primavera where he grew the company's sales and international presence across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. He has also held management positions at Motorola and Isis Telecommunications.

A keen advocate of the ‘social enterprise’ Forbes is a big believer in the impact that mobility and social media is having on businesses and their employees today. Dean is a keen traveller and can be found in 3 different countries on a weekly basis driving KDS business and expansion to the next level.

 
 
Antonio Perea, Compras y Contrataciones Generales, CEPSA

Since February of this year, Antonio is member of the Board of Directors of AEGVE (Spanish Association of Travel Managers) and associate of AEGVE since 2006. Antonio is employed in CEPSA, Spain’s second major petroleum company and rated as fourth largest industrial group by turnover. Since joining CEPSA en 1980, he has always worked in financial areas achieving the responsibility of Financial Manager of CEPSA Convenience S.A. during 12 years. Albert Pozo - VP Global Customer & IT Services at Amadeus IT Group and BOD for Association of Corporate Travel (ACTE)

Albert Pozo has seventeen years business management experience at Amadeus. In 2003 Albert was appointed Joint Managing Director of Amadeus Germany, the world's largest distributor of tour-packages. Prior to this, he was responsible for the integration of Start Amadeus, into the Amadeus Group, following its acquisition in 2003.

He originally joined Amadeus in 1993 and held two positions in the marketing organization. Firstly as Senior Manager, Airline Sales and Services when he was responsible for establishing, maintaining and growing commercial relationships with airlines. Then as Director, Product Marketing Management for EMEA and Latin America. Prior to Amadeus, Albert worked for Swissair for five years.
 
 

 
 

Paul Revel - Editor of Buying Business Travel

As editor, Paul keeps his finger on the industry’s pulse talking to the key players and participating in major conferences and events around the world.
Before joining BBT in 2011, Paul worked at travel trade publisher TTG Media for four years, most recently as web editor and before that as chief sub-editor and writer on the ttgluxury and ttgbusiness magazines. Claudia Unger - Director of Research and Intelligence at BCD Travel

Claudia has recently joined Advito as Director of Research and Intelligence and will work closely with the global team on understanding and forecasting business travel behaviour. She is also currently pursuing her PhD, after obtaining an MA in Marketing Communications and a BBA in Tourism Management.

In her last position, Claudia was the Director of the Regent’s Business Forum and lectured on event management and marketing at Regent’s College, London. She also wrote a module on business travel for the new MA Travel & Tourism.

 

 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Glenn Wastyn - President & CEO at Global Videoconferencing Network NV

Glenn Wastyn, started his career in 1995 as an entrepreneur in the tourism sector. As founder of Skikot & GlobEvents, he learned the tricks of the trade with his tour operator, travel and events agency. After selling his company in 2003 he obtained an International MBA at Vlerick and joined BARCO’s Media and Entertainment Division in 2004 to develop one of BARCO’s hottest markets: Digital Cinema. In 2008 he joined BCD Travel as Commercial Director for Belgium and Luxemburg and later as VP Supplier Relations SouthWest Europe overseeing 1.1B€ in supplier negotiations. January 1st 2010, he started a new company  GVN, The Virtual Airline, where he currently holds the roles of President & CEO.
 

Lotten Tegstam Welinder - Concept Owner Meetings/Regional Manager, Group Meeting & Travel - IKEA Group

The Meeting Concept in IKEA aims for each meeting to reflect the corporate values of simplicity and cost consciousness, leaving both hosts and participants energized and with a clear contribution to the business.  Lotten has a background in Organizational Development with leadership and coaching as main area of expertise. Since joining IKEA in 2007, she has managed the development of the internal IKEA trainers and designed global training programs. 
Previous roles have included development and coaching at Dale Carnegie, market management at MTG and several years in the travel industry
