     Join two of Northeast Ohio's most influential state legislators in a discussion about the state biennial budget process, the priorities of the 133rd General Assembly, and expected changes that could impact the bioscience industry.

    State Senator Matt Dolan is serving his first term in the Ohio Senate, representing a large portion of Cuyahoga County. The 133rd General Assembly is just getting underway and committee assignments are in the process of being determined. In last year's 132nd General Assembly, Senator Dolan served on the Senate Finance Committee and its subcommittee on High Education; the Transportation, Commerce, and Workforce Committee; the Energy and Natural Resources Committee; the Insurance and Financial Institutions Committee, and; as the Vice Chair of the Judiciary Committee. Senator Dolan also serves three terms in the Ohio House of Representatives, and during that time he serves as Chairman of the Finance and Appropriations Committee. Senator Dolan is a graduate of Gilmour Academy, Boston College and Case Western Reserve School of Law. 


     State Representative Sarah LaTourette is serving her third term in the Ohio House of Representatives, where she represents the 76th District which includes most of Geauga and northern Portage counties. In last year's 132nd General Assembly, Representative LaTourette served in a leadership position and was on the Finance Committee and it's Subcommittee on Health and Human Services; the Health Committee; the Rules and Reference Committee; and the Community and Family Advancement Committee. She served as co-chair for the Commission on Infant Mortality, the Chair of Ohio Children's Trust Fund, and was a member of both the Ohio Home Visiting Consortium and Ohio Advisory Council for Aging. Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, Representative LaTourette is a 2006 graduate of Miami University.
