General Information

What are the dates for the 2012 ASF Annual Meeting?
May 21-22, 2012

Is the Annual Meeting accessible to the physically challenged?
Yes, the Four Seasons is equipped for the physically challenged. Persons with special needs should contact
events@americansecuritization.com specifying your requirements.

What is the dress code for the meeting?
Business casual attire is appropriate for all meeting activities. Since meeting room temperatures vary we recommend you bring a jacket or sweater to the sessions.

Is coffee or other beverages provided?
Breakfasts, lunches and breaks are provided during normal meeting hours. A full agenda with locations and times for meals is available here.

How do I obtain a visa to attend the meeting?
The visa application process can take six months or more, so we encourage attendees from countries other than the United States to apply for their visas as early as possible, but no later than three months before they wish to enter the United States. Please note that a visa does not guarantee entry into the United States! Individuals may request a letter of invitation by email at
vheller@americansecuritization.com. The following must be included in your request:

  • Full name as it appears on your passport
  • Gender
  • Date of birth
  • Complete mailing address
  • Passport number and country of issue
  • Phone Number
  • Fax Number Requests may take up to 5 business days to process.

Management is not able to contact US Embassies in support of an individual attempting to gain entry into the host country to attend the 2012 ASF Annual Meeting.

     Registration

How and when can I register for the 2012 ASF Annual Meeting?
Online registration is available through 6PM (EDT) Friday, May 18th. After May 18, 2012 all registrations must be done onsite at the meeting.
 
How much does it cost to register?
Cost varies according to registration category and ASF membership status. Please click here to learn more.

If you are directly employed by an ASF member firm (click here for a list of member firms) you may register as a member. For more information on becoming an ASF member please click here. All others must register as nonmembers. Registration questions may be emailed to vheller@americansecuritization.com. 

How do I know if my firm is a member?

Do I have to be an ASF member to attend the meeting?
No, the meeting is open to all securitization industry professionals. However, the pricing structure is different for members and non-members.

When does online registration end?
Online registration ends on May 18, 2012 at 6:00 PM EDT.

If I have not registered before online registration ends, can I still register for the meeting?
Yes. Onsite registration opens on May 21, 2012 at the Four Seasons Hotel Washington, D.C..
 
Can I register over the phone?
No. Registration is available online through May 18, 2012, after which you may register onsite at the meeting.

What does my registration include?
Registration includes admission to the Keynotes, Sessions, Meal Functions, and the Reception.

Can I attend only one day of the meeting, or just a session, or two?
Yes, however pricing is only available for the entire meeting.

Can I pay for my registration with a credit card?
Payment by credit card is preferred. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are accepted. Charges will appear on your credit card statement as "ASF INC" or "AMERICANSECURITIZATIONFORUMINC."

Can I pay for my registration with a check?
Payment by credit card is preferred. If you are unable to pay with a credit card please email vheller@americansecuritization.com
. Checks must be received within 30 days of the date of the registration invoice. All payments must be made no later than May 18, 2012 or the registration will be cancelled. Please note that if you are registering onsite, you will be required to submit a credit card for verification, even if your registration is complimentary.

Am I able to register a group of people?
Yes, register as an individual and you will have the opportunity to add additional group members later in the registration process. If there are fees associated with this event, the total fees for all registrants in the group will be charged to the first person in the group. If members of the group are paying individually (for example, with different credit cards), you must create separate registrations for each.

What is the refund and cancellation policy for meeting registrations?
Refunds are not available for any cancelled registrations.
 
Are substitutions allowed?
Substitutions are welcome at any time including onsite. All substitution requests must be submitted in writing to vheller@americansecuritization.com.

Please note that substitutions are only permissible if the substituting individual qualifies for the original registrant's category. For instance, a substitute for an investor registrant must also qualify as an investor for registration purposes. The substituting individual must also be employed by the same firm as the original registrant.
 
Will I receive an email confirmation?
Yes, you will receive confirmation by email that you are registered. If you do not receive an email confirmation, it means your registration did not go through. Please contact
vheller@americansecuritization.com if you have any problems.
 

     Hotel & Travel

How and when can I make a hotel reservation for the 2012 ASF Annual Meeting?
You can make you hotel reservation online when you register for the Meeting. If you did not make a reservation while registering and would like to reserve a room at the Meeting hotel, you may modify your registration to reserve a room. Additional information on booking and rates is available on our Hotel webpage.

Will there be any shuttle service provided at the 2012 ASF Annual Meeting?
Shuttles will not be provided. All meeting events will take place at the Four Seasons.

What airport is closest to the Four Seasons?
Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) is the main airport to serve the Washington, D.C. metro area, and closest to the meeting venue. Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is the next closest airport serving Washington, D.C.

Are there other travel options nearby the Four Seasons?
It is also possible to travel by train. Washington, D.C. Union Station is a short distance from the Four Seasons with frequent arrival and departures from major East Coast cities.

Where should I go when I arrive at the meeting?
Please go to the ASF Annual Meeting registration desk located at the Four Seasons Hotel Corcoran Ballroom Foyer starting the afternoon of Monday, May 21st.  You may pick-up your badge and meeting materials during normal registration hours. Please refer to the Meeting Agenda for registration hours.

Is there a Business Center in the hotel?
The Four Seasons business center is open 24-hours a day, every day. 

What will the meeting program be like? 
The Annual Meeting will feature Keynote addresses and single track sessions both days which cover issues of broad interest to the industry.

How do I register my employees for complimentary registrations included with my supporter package?
The representatives from the supporting firm must be registered under the Supporter category via custom link that will be sent to the supporter contact.
