Jeff Davis
EVP, Chief Financial Officer
JCPenney

Jeff Davis was named executive vice president and chief financial officer at JCPenney in July 2017. A highly accomplished retail finance leader, Davis is responsible for all financial operations of the company.

Davis brings over 30 years of finance experience across multiple industries. He most recently served as chief financial officer at Darden Restaurants, where he oversaw the company’s real estate acquisitions, as well as the restaurant development division.

Prior to Darden, Davis served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for Walmart U.S. stores, a $288 billion dollar operation. Upon joining Walmart in 2006, he served in roles of increasing responsibility in their finance division, including store operations, specialty businesses, strategy and treasury. Before joining Walmart, Davis held finance-related positions with Lakeland Tours, McKesson Corporation and The Hillman Company.

Davis holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University and received his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.

Pam Mortensen
SVP, Merchandising
JCPenney

Pam Mortensen is senior vice president and general merchandise manager for JCPenney. She joined the company in 2009 supporting jewelry and watches. Mortensen has been integral in implementing popular customer concepts such as Modern Bride and Bijoux Bar to position JCPenney as a destination for style and fashion.

Before joining JCPenney, Mortensen served in leadership roles at Walmart, Inc. as vice president and divisional merchandise manager of fine jewelry and watches and divisional merchandise manager for service merchandise. During her tenure at Walmart, she was instrumental in developing the retailer’s standards and criteria for responsible jewelry sourcing and led the launch of the Love, Earth jewelry collection, which gave customers the ability to trace the path of their jewelry from mine to market. Pam started her jewelry career at Zale Corporation and her retail career at Federated Department Stores.

This year, Mortensen was inducted into the National Jeweler’s Retailer Hall of Fame, which recognized her as a jeweler who has made significant contributions to jewelry retailing and has inspired her peers with long-term success in the jewelry industry. In 2015, Mortensen was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Women’s Jewelry Association and was also added to the JCK industry magazine’s annual Power List of 50 CEO’s, retailers, designers and tastemakers who shape and innovate the jewelry business – a distinction she also received in 2012. Additionally, she was recognized as the Facet of Hope Honoree for the Jewelers for Children organization in 2012.

Mortensen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arkansas. In 2012, the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences named her as Outstanding Alumna.
