Overview

To be able to accurately self-assess and improve your provision is vital for any organisation. This workshop enables participants to explore features of the Common Inspection Framework (CIF) 2015 that will further improve their understanding of how the CIF is applied during inspection. It will also include a practical activity on what to write and not write in your self-assessment report (SAR). Two of these sessions will be led by an Ofsted HMI.

The workshop includes information on how to:
  • develop a self-assessment practice that leads to improvement
  • identify the key characteristics of effective self-assessment and evaluation of your provision according to the CIF 2015
  • write a judgement-rich, learner-centred self-assessment report (please bring a hard copy of your SAR to the workshop)
  • develop a 48 hour short notice inspection plan on how to proceed once a notification of inspection is received

See the Agenda for more information.
