TPE Primer

A TPE Primer will precede the 13th TPE TOPCON Conference to be held in the Akron Hilton from September 18-20, 2018. This will require a seaparate registration from the TPE Conference. Registration fees for the Primer are $75 for advance and $85 for on site. Attendees can register for the Primer only or separately for both the Primer and the main TPE Conference.

The Primer will provide an overview of the different types of TPE materials and relate their composition, structure and morphology to properties, processing and applications. The Primer should be useful to newcomers to TPEs as well as broaden the knowledge and understanding of TPEs for those already working with TPEs in processing, manufacturing, product development, technical service, sales and marketing. The Primer program will cover Styrene Block Copolymer TPEs (SBCs), Olefinic TPEs (TPOs, TPVs, m-POEs), Engineering TPEs (TPUs, COPEs and COPAs) and some Specialty TPEs (TPSiV, ETPE, Ionomers). Applications will be described for each type of TPE as well as products and producers. The Primer will conclude with a break-out session on TPE selection for different performance requirements.

Come and join us for the TPE Primer and TOPCON hosted by the TPE SIG and Akron Section of SPE. The TPE TOPCON will also include guest luncheon speakers, exhibits, a Poster Session by Akron University students and receptions on the Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
