FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Do I have to be a member of Parks and Leisure Australia to enter the awards?
A: Yes. If you or your organisation is currently not a Parks and Leisure Australia member, contact Lina membership@parkslesiure.com.au for more information or go to www.parksleisure.com.au

Q: Does my project/ programme and/or event have to be completed?
A: Yes the nominated project/programme and/or event but be completed in the past two years.

Q: What is a joint submission?
A joint submission recognises your organisation as well as another key stakeholder who have contributed to the project. Both organisations will be recognised at all stages of the process.  

Q: I have entered into the PLA Awards of Excellence in the past - can I enter the same project into the same project again?

A: Yes, however if your project won an award category in the past you are unable to enter the same project in the same award category.

Q: Can I enter the same project into more than one award category?
A: Yes, ensuring you address the criteria for each award category and the entry is relevant to that category. 

Q: When are regional winners announced?
Parks and Leisure Australia holds regional events across the country to announce Regional Award winners. These events can be a breakfast, lunch, dinner or cocktail reception. To find an event n ear you click here.

Q: When are national winners announced?
A: National winners will be announced at the Awards of Excellence Gala Dinner, Tuesday 16th October, 2018 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Tickets on sale soon...

Q: Are national finalists expected to attend the Award of Excellence Gala Dinner?
A: Yes, a representative from your organisation is required to be in attendance to accept the award, should you win.
