ELIGIBILITY

Who is eligible to apply for the Change Maker Trip?
Independent Consultants who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply for the Change
Maker Trip:

1.Volunteer a total of 36 hours with a non-profit organization aligned with our PFC mission statement to serve youth with life-changing empowerment programs where they live*
2. Participate in one of the following PFC campaigns
   a. #RFGoNakedDay
   b. PFC Toolkit (e.g. #RFChangeMaker)
   c. Another PFC social campaign.
3. Support the PFC Foundation with a monetary donation of any kind.

Once eligible, how do Independent Consultants apply for the Change Maker Trip?
Eligible Independent Consultants will be required to complete an application with necessary
supporting documents verifying eligibility. Applications for the 2018 Change Maker Trip must be
submitted by December 31, 2017.
How are Independent Consultants selected to attend the Change Maker Trip?
All 2018 Change Makers are selected by a committee of PFC and Rodan + Fields® Home
Office Employees based on his or her demonstrated interest and dedication to the PFC Mission.
How will I know if I am selected to participate in the Change Maker Trip?
Selected participants will be announced early 2018.
I have a conflict. Can I defer to the next Change Maker Trip?
Independent Consultants who are selected for a 2018 Change Maker Trip do not have the option
to defer to the subsequent trip. However, Independent Consultants can re-qualify and apply to be
selected for a subsequent trip.

EVENT DETAILS

When and where are the Change Maker Trips taking place?
Change Maker trips are taking place in the United States, Canada and Australia. Location and
dates are still to be determined.
Will PFC choose what Change Maker Trip location/site I attend?
Yes. PFC will select your Change Maker trip location, which will be communicated to you via email
once you receive a registration e-mail in early 2018.
What will the focus of the Change Maker Trip be?
The Change Maker Trip is an once-in-a-lifetime service opportunity for Independent Consultants
and students to volunteer side-by-side for 36 hours with one of our non-profit partners in a host city
near them. Consultants will learn about PFC’s non-profit partners, their community action programs
and the youth served.

What can I expect during the Change Maker Trip?
The Change Maker Trip will include a roundtable discussion, a student-led tour, service
components and the opportunity for the Change Maker to bond with his or her student buddy. A
complete agenda will be shared during a training, which will happen prior to arriving onsite at the
trip.           
Will there be a Change Maker Trip training beforehand?
Yes, PFC and our non-profit partners will facilitate a training-call beforehand. An e-mail
invitation will be sent to you. Additionally, each training will be recorded and sent to each
Change Maker.

REGISTRATION

Once selected to participate in the Change Maker Trip, how do I register?
Selected participants will receive an e-mail early 2018 with additional details on how to register
and arrange airfare, accommodations and transportation.
Can I cancel my trip?
Yes. However, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible so your spot can be offered to
another Change Maker applicant.
Can I bring a Business Partner/Spouse to the trip?
No. A Change Maker is not able to bring a Business Partner/Spouse or any guest on the trip.

LODGING & TRAVEL

Does Rodan + Fields cover the cost of lodging?
Yes. Rodan + Fields will pay for accommodations for 2 nights.
How do I arrange and reserve my lodging?
You will be prompted to submit your accommodation preferences during the registration process
in early 2018. You must submit this information to reserve and confirm your accommodations.
Can I extend my hotel reservation past the dates of the event?
Yes. If you plan to arrive earlier or depart later than the dates of the event, please e-mail
changemaker@rodanandfields.com with your request as soon as you submit your registration
information. We will contact the hotel for availability and will confirm whether your reservation
can be extended. The Change Maker participant will be responsible for any fees or costs associated with additional nights.
Should I book my own flight?
No. Rodan + Fields will arrange all flight details. You will be asked to submit information
regarding your travel preferences when you receive the registration e-mail in early 2018.
Am I responsible for paying for my flight?
No. Rodan + Fields will cover the cost of your flight.
Is the cost of baggage included?
No, the cost of baggage is the responsibility of each individual Consultant.
Will Rodan + Fields cover the cost of roundtrip transportation from the airport to the hotel?
Change Makers will receive a $100 RF Payday Bonus to use towards the cost of transportation.

GENERAL

What will I need to pay for during the trip?
All planned activities listed on the agenda and most meals will be covered by R+F. You will be responsible for any costs incurred during your free time as well as personal purchases.
What is the expected attire?
The Change Maker Trip is a casual event. You will receive two PFC t-shirts at the start of the Change Maker Trip from your PFC leader. Please wear your PFC t-shirt during the trip. It’s a great way to show off your spirit while staying comfortable and prepared for service. Wearing your shirt will also help community members and service recipients identify you at the site as a Rodan + Field volunteer. Please refer to the agenda by day for specific details.

Bring comfortable, closed-toe shoes that you wouldn’t mind getting a little dirty; they will keep your feet safe from harm throughout the day. Sandals and open-toed shoes are prohibited.

Don’t forget about climate protection! Please bring layers and be sure to check the weather before you pack.
