Grant Thornton Professional Bios

Bailey Jordan is a partner with Grant Thornton LLP and leader of the southeast region Risk Advisory Services practice.  His 30 years of consulting experience has covered a wide range of engagements, including projects in enterprise risk management, internal audit co-sourcing/outsourcing, quality assurance reviews, internal audit transformation and Sarbanes-Oxley/internal controls consulting.  He is an Advisory Council Member of COSO’s ERM – Integrated Framework Update Project and Advisory Board Member of N.C. State University’s College of Management ERM Initiative.  He’s a member of the IIA’s North American Advocacy Committee and Board Member of the IIA’s Raleigh–Durham Chapter.  Bailey holds CIA, CISA, CPA (N.C.) and CRMA designations and is a member of the IIA, ISACA, AICPA, and NCACPA.

Cherie is focused primarily in the federal corporate tax area of practice.  Cherie’s tax experience includes providing tax compliance and consulting services, including accounting method reviews, internal revenue audit assistance and preparation and review of SFAS 109 tax provision calculations.  Cherie is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South Carolina Association of CPAs.  She is licensed in South Carolina.  Cherie is involved in various civic activities including the Junior League of Columbia, United Way of the Midlands and Junior Achievement.  She is a former board member of the Columbia Estate Planning Council.

Previously, he was a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s Management Consulting Services group and Arthur Andersen Consulting, focused on ERP systems and implementation.

Mike has a unique combination of Operational Risk Management Skills, Source-to-Pay Operational Excellence, Procurement Model Design and Third Party Contract Risk Reduction experiences. With more than 20 years of experience across consulting and banking industries, Mike has served large global clients in both an advisory and executive capacity, most recently as the Procurement Executive for a top 5 Financial Institution.  His experience includes assisting in business strategy, operating model design and enterprise transformation. Mike is an Ariba Certified Engineer, ACAMS Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, and holds a Six Sigma Black Belt Certification. He holds an Economics degree from UNC-CH and an MBA from Wake Forest. He is a member of IAA, ISM, IMA and the WFU Business School Alumni Development Council.

Erin has extensive experience leading large, complex accounting and consulting engagements and assisting clients with compliance audits, forensic accounting, internal investigations and litigation support matters. Erin received a Bachelor of Business Administration focused in Accounting from the University of Hawaii - Manoa and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Erin holds CPA (N.C.), CFE, and CMA designations and is a member of the AICPA, ACFE, and IMA.   

  


Kevin Archer is a Manager in Grant Thornton LLP’s Risk Advisory Services practice located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kevin has spent the past five years providing services to public and private clients for both business process and information technology based engagments focused on internal audit, Sarbanes Oxley, regulatory compliance and business process advisory work. Kevin is a North Carolina CPA and is a member of the IIA, AICPA, and NCACPA.
