2 Heads of State took centre stage
The President of South Africa and the President of Ghana took to the stage on Tuesday 5th February and announced their plans for mining in their countries. 

A whole day dedicated to battery metals
The inaugural Battery Metals Day proved a huge success. Delegates heard from from the countries holding the resources, the battery manufacturers buying them and the future risk to growth due to changing battery technology.

The major issue of Resource Nationalism 
Key players discussed the importance of a harmonious mining sector for all stakeholder. They discusses strategies on how to restore stability and overcome challenges when there’s political and economic upheaval.

Investors and junior miners got closer
The investor lounge moved closer to Junior Mining Showcase providing easier interaction between investors and miners.

Driving sustainable development
Key discussion at this year’s Sustainability Day included: disruptive innovation for sustainability, water & environment, negative mining legacies and the role of communities in shaping the development of mining.

More diversity
Our pledge to increase diversity resulted in 25% female speaker line-up.
