Arrival by Air

There are direct flights to Sofia from mainly European cities. The airport is located 10 km east of the city centre. There have 2 terminals. Usual, international flights lending on the Terminal 2.

The distance from the airport to Hotel Cristal Palace is approx. 8 km, to hotel Arena Di Serdica is aprox.10 km.

There are many taxis at the airport but it is strongly recommended to use marked cars with taxi company details “OK СУПЕРТРАНС” in Cyrillic Tel: 973 2121.

When exiting the customs area, please go straight on and identify the Desk Office: “OK TAXI Company”. This is the official company serving the airport. The local organizers have an agreement with the company to assist our guests, so you will see the logo “MN CMOIP”. Please ask the clerk to call a taxi for you. The taxi fare should not be more than 20 BGN (approximately 10 EURO) for a ride to the hotels. The payment for the taxi should be made in Bulgarian Leva only. You can change small amount of money at the airport or use ATM.

Please do not take taxi in front of the airport because they may ask significantly higher prices than the official company serving the airport.

There are buses 84 and 284 that stop in front of the arrival hall. Buses go from the airport to the bus station on UNIVERSITY ‘ST. Kliment Ohridsky’ (the last stop) (in front of Cristal Palace hotel).  After that you can take a taxi to reach the other hotels or to take another buses.
