WORKSHOP INFORMATION


Building on the outcome of the 1st NC3A Workshop (Brussels, 14th June 2011) on Multinational Civil-Military Interoperability project proposal, NC3A organizes the 2nd Workshop on Multinational Cooperation in Civil-Military Interoperability (MN CMIOP) that is co-hosted by the Republic of Bulgaria at the “G.S. Rakovski” National Defence Academy in Sofia, on 21 and 22 November 2011.     
  
The workshop will be followed by the “Interagency in Multinational Environment” Conference hosted by Bulgarian Ministry of Defence.

 Being this topic in line with Comprehensive C4ISR Approach, the workshop participation is open to all Nations, governmental and non-governmental organizations, multi national organizations and agencies, academia and private volunteer organizations dealing with Disaster Relief/Crisis Management/Humanitarian Operations in Other-Than-War (OTW) scenarios. Participation of private industry is allowed if endorsed by respective government. The workshop is being prepared in coordination with NATO OPS/Planning, ACT, and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The objectives of the workshop are:

·  Presentation and discussion with the nations on the Interoperability Focus Areas (IFAs) and capability solutions that will be provided before the workshop to registered national representatives as read-ahead    packages;

·  Presentation and discussion with the nations on additional packages proposals, including possible national contribution to the packages;

·  Provide a live demonstration of some civil-military interoperability prototype/COTS solutions which could be addressed by the above IFAs;

·  Agreement on the further activities roadmap for the MN CMIOP project proposal.
