Renowned as a gem on the Amalfi Coast, the quaint town of Sorrento is situated on the Sorrentine Peninsula, across the bay from the city of Naples. This incredible location makes Sorrento an ideal base for exploring all the region has to offer. To the south lies the best of the peninsula’s pristine countryside, to the east is the Amalfi Coast, to the north such treasures as Pompeii, Herculaneum and other archaeological sites, and just off the shoreline lies the fabled island of Capri.
