Dr. Mishal A. Al-kasimi

Dr. Mishal A. Al-kasimi currently serves as CEO HealthCare Platform for Abu Dhabi Capital Group. Previous to that was the Medical Director for the Abu Dhabi Centre for Care and Rehabilitation at the Zayed Higher Organization, (ZHO) located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and also was the Chair of Pediatric Services at Ambulatory Health Services (AHS), for Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) In his role as Chair of Pediatric Services, he led implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols, and promoted the adoption of evidence based medicine, quality and efficiency of clinical practice.


Doctor Al-kasimi led the merging of all medical staff under one umbrella at the Abu Dhabi Centre for Care and Rehabilitation, thus ensuring that care was standardized across the clinic system. Throughout his professional career, Doctor A-kasimi has been deeply committed not only to best practices and quality care, but also to patient satisfaction and best experience.

Doctor Al-Kasimi received his Undergraduate, Medical School and Post-graduate training in the U.S.A in the State of New York. He has been a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics since 2006, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2007.

In addition Doctor Al-kasimi earned a Certificate in Medical Education in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio, in 2010.  Doctor Al-kasimi has achieved the status of Certified Physician Executive by the Certifying Commission in Medical Management from the American Association for Physician Leadership (formerly The American College of Physician Executives).
 
Dr. Nawal Al Kaabi

Dr. Nawal Al Kaabi graduated with an MBBS from United Arab Emirates University in Al Ain, UAE . She became certified as a Fellow in Pediatrics through the Royal College of Physicians in Canada in 2002 and again in Pediatric Infectious Disease in 2004. Additionally, she completed an Infection Control Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, University of Ottawa in Canada. She is also an American Board Certified (2001). Prior to her post at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City she was a Consultant at Zayed Military Hospital, Abu Dhabi, UAE. She has been a Division Head of Pediatric Infectious Disease at SKMC since 2007 and Paediatric Residency Program Director since April 2010. Currently, she is a Deputy DIO, Education Institute at Shaikh Khalifa Medical City, UAE from February 2012 up to present and Chair of Infections Control and Prevention: SEHA Health Care Facilities since 2012. Dr. Al Kaabi’smain interests are Vaccination, Multidrug Resistance Organisms, Infection Control and Medical Education.

Dr Kelley was raised in the state of Kentucky in the USA. He graduated from Harvard University with honors, then went on to attend medical school in University of Louisville. He completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at East Carolina University and is US board certified in both. After 17 yrs in private practice he came with his 4 children and wife to Abu Dhabi. Initially he staffed the emergency department at Zayed Military Hospital for 3 ½ yeas. After than he was appointed CMO of ProVita. This January he joined Capital Health as there CMO and is part of the team opening the new Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital as well as a new day surgery center, Health Shield Medical Center.

 
Dr Hamza Alsayouf

Dr. Alsayouf is a Consultant Child Neurologist. He had his training at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Ohio State University, 2006-2009. He worked as Child Neurologist at Mercy Medical Hospital in Des Moines, IA from 2009 to 2012 and at the same time serves as Assistant Professor at Des Moines Osteopathic School of Medicine.  He is a member of the American Academy of Radiology Fellowship and obtained the American board certification in Pediatrics and in Child Neurology.
 
Dr. Huda Kamal Sadek

Dr. Huda worked as Specialist in various pediatric facilities in United Kingdom until she obtained her CCT in General Pediatric and in Community Child Health. She continues working as a Consultant Pediatrician in UK where her main area of interest is children development and special needs and had been involved deeply in child protection service and children care. Currently, she serves as the Consultant General Pediatrics of the Mafraq Hospital. 

 
Dr. Zaid Al-Aubaidi

Dr. Zaid Al-Aubaidi achieved the Danish Royal Board in Orthopaedic and Trauma in 2007 and had one year fellowship in paediatric orthopedics. He had as well a fellowship at the Sick Kids hospital/ Toronto, with the focus on complex spine deformities. Since 2009; he had a position at the Odense university hospital as a consultant paediatric orthopaedic surgeon. At the same time, he was enjoying an academic position as an associate professor at the University of Southern Denmark.

Dr. Al-Aubaidi had active overseas activities. He was 3 times in Western Africa in a charity program. Besides, he had been active in organizing trips as visiting consultant to Switzerland, Germany, China and Iraq.

Since the end of 2013, he moved to UAE, where he is now working as a paediatric orthopaedic and paediatric spine surgeon at Burjeel Hospital. He is capable of treating wide range of paediatric conditions and research wise; he has more than 23 published papers. He is the Editor of “In Tech” book of Orthopaedics and wrote the orthopaedic chapter of the Danish Medical book: Sygdomslaere for Sunhedsprofessionelle. Besides he is reviewer for: Ugeskrift for laeger(Danish Medical Bulletin), DOS (Danish Orthopaedic Society), Journal of Paediatric Orthopaedics B, Journal of Children Orthopaedics (EPOS) and Journal of Orthopaedic Case Reports (JOCR).


 
Prof. Zbigniew Ruszczak MD , PhD

Prof. Dr. Zbigniew Ruszczak, MD, PhD, is a Consultant in Dermatology & Venereology, Pediatric Dermatology, Allergy, and Wound Care. He is currently the Head of the Department of Dermatology, Pediatric Dermatology, Allergy and Wound Care at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, the leading UAE Dermatology Center. Prior to this he served for over 2 years as Consultant and Head of Department of Dermatology & Allergy Clinic at Al Noor Hospitals Group PLC, and between 2009 and 2013 as Senior Consultant in Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, in Abu Dhabi.

Prof. Ruszczak has over 30 years of experience in academia and innovative biotechnology industry. He is German Board certified in Dermatology and Allergy, and Fellow of American Academy of Dermatology and European Academy of Dermatology & Venereology.  He presented over 460 lectures on national and international conferences, published over 125 peer-reviewed papers in international journals, and is the editor of the section “Pediatric Dermatology” in the Springer’s masterpiece “Textbook of Clinical Pediatrics” among others multiple book chapters.

He serves as invited speaker and faculty member of The American Academy of Dermatology and The World Congress of Dermatology since many years. Being a former Medical Director and Head of R&D at a leading US biotechnology company, Prof. Ruszczak holds multiple world patents in biotechnology and local drug delivery systems. He is also a Visiting Professor and Consultant of Dermatology at the Rutgers University of New Jersey, Newark, NJ, USA. His main interest is in Skin Immunology and Pediatric.

 
Dr. Sofia Konstantinopoulou
Pediatric Pulmonary Consultant

Dr. Sofia Konstantinopoulou originally comes from Athens, Greece where she studied medicine at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She then moved to the United States to complete her pediatric residency at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey and her pediatric pulmonary fellowship and sleep fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). After completion of her training, Sofia served as an attending physician at CHOP and an assistant professor in clinical pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine, at the University of Pennsylvania. Sofia is board certified in pediatrics, pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine. Her interests involve patients with chronic lung disease of prematurity, neuromuscular diseases and sleep disordered breathing. She joined SKMC in February 2016 where she serves as a pediatric pulmonary consultant and is caring for a large volume of complex patients. 

 
Dr. Irfan Khan

Dr Irfan Khan is a comprehensively trained ophthalmic surgeon with specialisation in all aspects of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Ocular Motility. He is subspecialty trained in the management of Paediatric Cataracts, Paediatric Glaucoma, Retinopathy of Prematurity, Retinoblastoma, Paediatric Anterior Segment Reconstruction, common Paediatric Oculoplastics, Strabismus or Squint, Adult Strabismus (with Adjustable sutures) and Adult Cataract Surgery.

After graduating from AllamaIqbal Medical College, Pakistan he undertook his basic Ophthalmic surgical training in Ireland at the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital, Dublin and then Waterford University Hospital, Waterford (2005-2009). He completed his higher surgical training in Ophthalmology at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, Manchester, with advanced specialty training in Paediatric Ophthalmology (2009- 2014) and then worked as a Paediatric Ophthalmology Consultant at Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport NHS Trust (2014). To gain further experience he did a fellowship from the world renowned Hospital for Sick Children (Sickkids), Toronto and was awarded the J.D Moran award for being the most outstanding fellow at that institution (2015).

He has three-post graduate degrees from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists London and received his Certificate of Completion of Specialty Training (CCST) from the General Medical Council, UK in 2013. He holds a postgraduate degree from Edge-Hill University in Medical Education.

He is a member of the American Academy of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London, UK.

In addition to his clinical work, he has published important research in the peer reviewed press and is a sought after presenter at international Ophthalmology conferences. He is actively involved in formulating guidelines for Neonatal screening for Retinopathy of Prematurity in the UAE. In his free time he is involved in providing charitable eye services to the underprivileged in Pakistan.

 
Dr. Nadeem Abdullah

Dr Nadeem is an established consultant diabetologist and is currently working as a consultant physician in paediatric endocrine and diabetes at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi. He has worked for more the 20 years in the NHS in UK before moving to SKMC in August 2017. He has completed his CCT training in the North East of England where majority of his training has been in endocrinology and diabetes. During that time, he completed an MSc in paediatric diabetes from the University of Warwick, UK. He has worked as a consultant in the department of paediatric endocrinology and diabetes at the Royal Victoria Infirmary at Newcastle upon Tyne before moving to Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH) in 2009. He has completed many projects successfully both regionally and nationally in the field of diabetes and have written several guidelines that are widely used across the UK. He has run several national educational programs on insulin pump therapy and CGMS in the UK and has contributed towards structured patient education. He has received formal training in medical education and has obtained a certificate in clinical education. He has regularly taught medical students on the PPG course at the University of Cambridge, School of Clinical Medicine, Cambridge, UK. He has been the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health Tutor for 4 successive years and has led MRCPCH examination courses at the CUH for many years.
