Parking Fees at Intercontinental Miami
Parking fees are as follows:
$36.00 daily valet parking, inclusive of taxes (Overnight) $9 first hour and $5 each additional hour (daytime).
Metromover
The Metromover Bayfront Park station is located directly across from the hotel and offers free connections around Downtown Miami including such popular destinations as the American Airlines Arena, Adrienne Arsht Center and Brickell. The link shows a fully detailed map of the specific stops on the route: http://www.miamidade.gov/transit/mover_stations.asp. The mover is free of charge and runs 5:00 am - midnight 7 days a week.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From Miami International Airport
1. Take 836 East to I-95
2. Take I-95 South to Biscayne Boulevard exit 2A.
3. Take ramp down to red light (next to Hyatt Regency)
4. Go straight through one more red light
5. Come to a stop sign
6. Turn left (get in far right lane)
7. Turn right at first red light (½ block from stop sign)
8. Chopin Plaza is on your right

From Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale or Pompano
1. Take I-95 South to Biscayne Boulevard exit
2. Follow directions from step three above

What To Pack?

Camera: Don't forget yours because you will miss snapping the celebrities on South Beach and the unique and beautiful cityscapes Miami provides.

Clothing: We are a tropical destination so beware of the high temperatures! Our summer and autumn months bring us the most hot and humid days, while the winter and spring months gives us gorgeous weather - chilly at times but manageable with a light sweater. Bring proper clothing and good sun care products!
 

Documentation: Carry your passport and visa at all times because photo ID is required for all identification purposes. A driver's license and a credit card is required for car rental.

Driving Yourself Around Town:
There are many one-way streets in downtown Miami. A GPS is highly recommended. You are now able to pay by phone at any of the City of Miami traffic meters by simply registering your vehicle tag and payment information via the internet or using your smart phone. Interstate I-95 in Miami-Dade County has opened dedicated Express Lanes to take travelers in and out of Downtown Miami faster through traffic. The toll rate varies depending on traffic congestion and is posted prior to access the Express Lanes. Tolls are charged through via the vehicles license plate.
