Please plan to arrive no later than Saturday, August 19, in order to participate in the Train-the-Trainer session at 8 a.m. on Sunday, August 20. District Leader Training ends at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22 which will be immediately followed by a 30 minute RA debrief.

Airport Information
Vancouver, British Columbia is serviced by the Vancouver International Airport (YVR), which is located in Richmond, British Columbia and is about 8 miles from Downtown Vancouver. Almost all major domestic and international airlines can be found at the Vancouver International Airport (YVR).

Airline Reservations
Toastmasters International will pay for round-trip transportation at the lowest rate. If you choose a different class of service or if you make any variations to your itinerary outside the standard route, you will be asked for your personal credit card to cover additional fees incurred.

Within three days of registering, a travel agent from Worldview Travel will email you an airline itinerary for you to review, approve or revise. Be sure to respond to Worldview Travel within 24 hours or your reservation may be forfeited. Upon final approval of your travel arrangements, you will receive a ticketed confirmation from Worldview Travel.

Driving
If you drive to District Leader Training, you may request mileage reimbursement at $0.535 cents (USD) per mile, not to exceed the amount of the lowest round-trip airfare rate. You must provide a supporting document from a source such as Map Quest or Google Maps when submitting your reimbursement form. Only the driver is eligible for reimbursement.

Ground Transportation
Taxi service is easily accessible at the taxi stands located on Level 2 of the domestic and international arrival areas of the Vancouver International Airport (YVR). More information will be provided in your final confirmation email in August. 

Region Advisor Expenses
World Headquarters reimburses travel costs (air or mileage) as outlined in Protocol 10.0 Region Advisor Expenses.

You are encouraged to submit your visa application well in advance of the event date at the Visa Application Centre or online via the Canadian Government website. Visa Application Centres provide a number of services including helping applicants fill out forms, answer questions, and ensure that applications are complete, thereby reducing unnecessary delays or refusals due to incomplete applications.
