  Learning Objectives  
         
  1. Use individualized preoperative testing and interventions to risk stratify cardiac patients to reduce risk and improve patient outcomes  
2. Use ultrasound as a perioperative assessment and/or diagnostic tool to improve diagnostic excellence
3. Appropriately treat patients with GDT to achieve hemodynamic improvement and improve patient outcomes
4. Incorporate the use of multimodal analgesia to effectively manage pain after surgery
5. Implement Perioperative Surgical Home (PSH) concepts to improve health care delivery and improve patient care using shared decision making and seamless continuity of care for the surgical patient; from the decision for surgery, through recovery, discharge and beyond
6. Incorporate mindfulness and meditation practices into personal and clinical practice to improve wellness/health
