Traveller Friction: Insights from the Modern Business Traveller Today's corporate travel managers operate increasingly more sophisticated travel programs and work more closely than ever with their counterparts in finance, procurement, human resources, technology and risk. These programs see to minimize the total cost of travel by balancing the tangible costs of travel expenses with the intangible costs of traveller friction - the wear and tear of too much travel. We’ll examine research conducted by MMGY Global, and then delve into the experiences directly from a panel of modern business travelers and other stakeholders. Travel industry experts will share insight on industry trends and how they are actively reviewing their travel policies, product offerings and customer experience to respond to the needs of the modern business traveller. In addition to providing tips for engaging and meeting the needs of this new type of traveller, this session will aim to inspire more open communication and collaboration between the traveller and team of experts committed to their successful travel experience. Presenters: Peter Kane, Senior Manager, Marketing Programs, Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) Patrick Doyle, Regional Vice President – Client Management, American Express Global Business Travel Participants: Owen Macht, Regional Sales Manager – Western Canada, Alpha Technologies Megumi Mizuno, Director, HR & Field Outreach.
