Tax Information

The 2017 Perform to Win trip is taxable income and subject to federal, applicable state and local income tax as well as Social Security and Medicare on the Fair Market Value and in accordance with the IRS Regulations. Rent-A-Center will report the income of the Fair Market Value prize on one of your payroll statements (checks) before end of year. These Fair Market Earnings will then appear as income on your 2017 year-end W-2 statement.

Rent-A-Center is giving the trip winners a 20% cash reimbursement on the same payroll check that the additional taxable value is added. This is to assist you in covering some of the tax liability you may have by accepting this award. The reimbursement amount will be applied first to Medicare and Social Security taxes, and then partially to your Federal witholding.

Your weekly net pay on this check should not be affected by this additional payment or prize value. You will be solely responsible for any tax liability over and above what the 20% covers, including any applicable State and Local taxes.

ANY TAX LIABILITY AS A RESULT OF THIS AWARD IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

You should consult a personal tax advisor as to the potential federal and applicable state and local tax implications.

Traveling with Children

The awarded trip is for the winner and one guest, any age. If you are planning to bring your children, the following information can be used as a guideline for expenses you will encounter during the Perform to Win trip. Please note any expenses related to bringing children to the Bahamas will be your financial responsibility.

Per the Atlantis Paradise Island hotel policy, four people are allowed per room, plus a 5th child under the age of 5 with no exceptions. Should your number of guests exceed the hotel policy, it will be required that you PAY for an additional sleeping room. Each room must have at least one adult. Failure to comply with the company's or the hotel's policies regarding sleeping rooms and children/family members may result in immediate dismissal from the trip at the attendee's cost.

  • Activities are NOT included in the following price packages. Pricing will vary depending on activity choice.
  • All prices are subject to change based on airfare from your departing city, resort cost, and activity costs.
  • Per hotel policy, there is a maximum of 5 guests per room.
  • Requests for additional rooms can be made during registration. Rent-A-Center cannot guarantee availability of rooms or availability at the discounted group rate.
  • Rollaway beds and cribs are complimentary, based on availability.

From in-room babysitting services to the Atlantis Kids Adventures (AKA), parents can rest easy knowing their kids are enjoying interactive childcare programs while they relax and explore the island.
