“Advanced Bystander Assistance"
Learn how to be a side by side assistant to the EMS by enhancing what is learned in "A Crash Course for the Motorcyclist". Students are taught how to be a leader at a scene. Advanced airway, common roadway medical concerns, assisting the EMS with extrication, femoral traction, role play, critical incident stress, lifting a bike lab, and PACT/ABCSS of Trauma are all addressed & practiced. 6.0 CEs
IT - Instructor Led ASM Advanced 300 series class. Lead Instructor: Tim Tobin - RN, Assisting instructor: Melissa Hyde - EMT. Location: American Legion. This class is open to anyone who wishes to take it. Cost: $50 per student (normally $125) due to the generous sponsorship of Schimmerling Law Firm and includes all course materials and lunch.
