Dr. Ammar Salti
Consultant Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine
Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC)

Dr. Salti is a practicing Consultant Anesthesiologist at Sheikh Khalifa Medical city in Abu Dhabi since 2015. Dr Salti graduated from Rene Descartes university- Paris-FRANCE and his fellowship of anesthesia and intensive care at Bichat hospital – Paris- FRANCE. He is French board certified in both Anesthesia and Pain Medicine. He also obtained the European diploma of Regional anesthesia and pain medicine organized by the European Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ESRA). Dr Salti is an active member of the European society of anesthesia (ESA), the European society of regional anesthesia (ESRA) and the Pan Arab society of anesthesia, Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine. Dr. Salti is a frequent national and international speaker and has received many professional and academic awards . He is the chairman of NYSORA Middle East and member of the scientific committee of the NWAC and Member of the Pain Committee of WFSA.

Celine finished her BSc Nursing from India Institute of Medical Sciences and obtained her Master’s Degree in Medical and Surgical Nursing in 2008. She got certified in Pain Management in 2014. She has experience of almost 25 years working as Registered Nurse, Charge Nurse in Medical Surgical Units and ICU from different hospitals in India and Saudi Arabia. She joined MOHUAE in 1993 where she worked for Jazeira Hospital. In 2011, she joined SKMC as Acute Pain Nurse.

 
Dr. Ahmed M R Abdel-Aziz M.B.B.Ch, M.Sc, FRCA
Consultant Paediatric Anaesthetist & Paediatric Intensivist / Chief of Paediatric Anaesthesia
Tawam Hospital

Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Aziz is a consultant pediatrics anesthetist and has completed specialized training in the UK from the Mersey Deanery in 2006. He worked as a consultant pediatric anesthetist and pediatric intensivist with special interest in pediatrics severe head trauma until 2015. After relocating in the UAE, he began working at Tawam Hospital. Dr. Ahmed is the course director for 3 Royal College of Anesthetists, one of the core funders of the MSc in Regional Anesthesia East Anglia University. He was an Examiner for East Anglia University, taught medical student at Durham University, Senior Lecturer East Anglia University and Educational Coordinator for NESRA.

 
Dr. Ali Zahran
Consultant and Acting Head of Anesthesia and Pain Management Department
Burjeel Hospital

Dr. Ali Zahran is Consultant and Acting Head of Anesthesia and Pain management Department at Burjeel Hospital for advanced surgery. He had his graduate degree in Anesthesia and ICU from University of Jordan and got the Jordanian Board in Anesthesia in 2005. Dr. Ali worked at Jordan University Hospital as a Senior Specialist of Anesthesia and intensive care for three years then served King Hussein Cancer Center as a Consultant of Anesthesia and Pain Management for four years. Dr. Ali moved to Canada where he attained his Post-Doctoral Clinical Fellowship Certificate in Pain Management from McMaster University, Canada. He worked in Anesthesia and Pain Clinic for more than three years in Canada including St. Joseph Hospital, Hamilton General Hospital and Juravinski Cancer Center.
 
Dr. Andrew Terence Hindle
Consultant Anaesthesiologist
Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC)

Dr Hindle was medically trained in Manchester, UK. During this time, he also acquired an honors degree in Pharmacology which provided the background for his interest in anaesthesia. He has been a consultant anesthesiologist since 1988. He has been involved in clinical teaching and research in all aspects of anaesthesia, this being fermented during a lecturers post he held in Leeds, UK. He has been a pain specialist for many years both in the UK and the UAE and latterly developed the Acute Pain Service in SKMC. He has just been appointed to a new posting in Australia where his professional and non professional interests will be continued and further developed.

 
Dr. Farah Saeed Al Zaabi
Family Medicine & Chronic pain consultant Medical Education Director

Dr. Farah Saeed Al-Zaabi began her career at Zayed Military hospital in 2006 as a consultant in Family Medicine & Chronic Pain Management after receiving her Canadian Certificate in Family Medicine. She has completed two fellowships, one in Chronic Pain and Addiction from the University of Toronto,and the second in Medical Education. In 2011, to improve her administrative and leadership skills, she earned her Executive Masters in Health Administration from Zayed University in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. She has been a significant figureat Zayed Military Hospital due to her eagerness to improve the UAE healthcare system, as well as enhancing the care provided by healthcare workers at all levels. In January 2010, she was appointed Medical Education Director at Zayed Military Hospital. Immediately she began instituting a variety of additional training, educational programs, and activities within the hospital. Currently, Dr. Farah is the Chronic Pain Clinic’s Team Leader with two anesthesiologists. She has instituted a multi-disciplinary team approach in the clinical treatment of chronic pain to provide a more effective outcome for patients.
 
Dr. Philippe Macaire
Senior Consultant in Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Medicine

Dr. Macaire is a Consultant in Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain at Rashid Governmental Hospital Dubai and visiting physician at Interventional Pain Clinic with more than 300 pain procedures done under US guidance and regenerative medicine injections (PRP). He has more than 16 years of clinical experience in United Kingdom and France before he moves to United Arab Emirates. He worked as the Medical Director of the Medical and Surgical Ambulatory Center of Dubai London Hospital and Medical and Surgical Ambulatory Centre of Dubai Healthcare City Tatweer Group on 2009. He is actively conducting different Anesthesia workshop and courses in Belgium, France and Dubai Health Authority facilities.
 
Dr. Pierrot Sarkis
Pediatric Surgeon Consultant
Oasis Hospital

Graduated in 1985 as MD from Saint Joseph University in Beirut Lebanon, he completed after 6 years of surgery and pediatric surgery in Lebanon and France. He graduated as pediatric surgeon from Catholic University of Lille, Faculty of Medicine in 1992. He started his mission in pediatric surgery in Lebanon in Saint Georges University hospital and started many units of pediatric surgery in Lebanon performing correction of digestive and urinary diseases. In 2005, He joined Saad Specialist Hospital in Alkhobar, Saudi Arabia, where he was section head of pediatric surgery performing all types of surgeries. Since February 2016, he is occupying the position of consultant pediatric surgeon in Oasis Hospital and Head of Department of surgery. He completed post graduate studies in biostatistics applied to healthcare and founded Evidence Based Medicine and Research center in Saad Specialist Hospital in Alkhobar. He was certified in 2015 as surveyor from AHIQ and had a large experience in quality control, procedures in healthcare and in international accreditations and implementation of Physician Performance Evaluation. He is occupying now the position of Chief Quality Officer in Oasis Hospital Alain-Abu Dhabi.
 
Dr. Rasha S. Jabri MD, DBA, ABMQ
Chief Pain Medicine/ Chairman of Comprehensive Pain Program

Dr. Jabri completed a residency in Anesthesiology at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago in 2003. She obtained her fellowship training in Pain Medicine at Northwestern University Fienberg School of Medicine in Chicago in 2004. She is American Board certified in Anaesthesiology and in Pain Management. She worked at Northwestern University Hospital as a full time anesthesiologist and pain physician before coming to UAE in 2007 to establish the comprehensive pain program at Tawam Hospital. Dr. Jabri is a faculty in the regional anesthesia and pain medicine diploma program at the University of Montpellier in Dubai. She also holds an Expert of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Diplomafrom UniversidadCatolica De Murcia, Spain. She also has a degree of Doctorate of Business Administration and she is American Board certified in Medial Quality.

 
Dr. Wael Karameh
Family Medicine Consultant
Sheikh Khalifa Medical City/Cleveland Clinic

Dr. Karameh graduated as a specialist in family medicine from the American University of Beirut Medical Center. Few months after his graduation and in early 2005, he moved to the city of Abu Dhabi in UAE and started his medical career at one of SEHA corporate institutions - The Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, managed by Cleveland Clinic. In September of the year 2010, he made the headlines of the news in both UAE and Lebanon when he successfully diagnosed a very rare and hard-to- detect adrenal gland tumor (afflicts only 1 out of 1 million people, located in the adrenal gland above the kidney) in an Emirate Woman and thus saved her life after referring her to Mayo Clinic in USA for surgery. Two years ago, Dr. Karameh was promoted from a specialist to a consultant position and succeeded with few of his colleagues in Ambulatory Healthcare Services to establish and run a new SEHA clinic in a remote area called Shamkha, located in the middle region of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, outside the city of Abu Dhabi. He has had a specialized training in the field of psychiatry, geriatric medicine, endocrinology, and allergy/immunology at many prestigious medical institutions in USA mainly Mayo Clinic in Rochester and Cleveland clinic in Florida. 
 
Dr. Waleed Riad Soliman
Consultant Anesthesiologist & Interventional Pain Physician

Dr. Waleed has more than 25 years of experience of clinical experience before he joined Corniche Hospital in August 2015 as a Consultant Anesthesiologist & Interventional Pain Physician. He got his M.B.B.Ch and MSc in Anesthesia degree from Alexandria University, Egypt and received his Medical Doctorate (Ph. D) from Alazhar University, Cairo, Egypt. With his dedication, he was able to attain his Arab Board, Saudi Board and King Saud University fellowship. He also completed his training in Interventional Pain Fellowship from Toronto University- Canada.
