MY 2-1-1 IS NOT OPERATED BY UNITED WAY / I DO NOT WORK FOR UNITED WAY. CAN I STILL ATTEND?

Absolutely! This summit is designed for ALL 2-1-1 leaders.Whether you work for 2-1-1 or you work for a United Way, we invite you to attend and help shape the future of 2-1-1.


HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM THE AIRS CONFERENCE?

The 2-1-1 Leadership Summit complements the AIRS Conference by focusing on specific strategies to evolve 2-1-1 into the future.The AIRS Conference focuses on training for experienced I&R practitioners, particularly center Managers and Directors.


IS THERE A DISCOUNTED RATE FOR THE HOTEL?

Yes, at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. Registrants will receive a link to book their hotel room in their registration receipt email.

Conveniently, the AIRS Conference will be held at the same hotel immediately after the 2-1-1 Leadership Summit.Keep in mind that if you are staying for AIRS, you’ll need to book a separate reservation to get the AIRS discounted rate too.


WILL I GET TO SEE THE 2-1-1 IN ATLANTA?

Yes! The meeting venue, the Loudermilk Center, is actually adjacent to United Way of Greater Atlanta, home of the first 2-1-1. We are planning tours for the morning of May 30, so sign up for a tour during registration if you want to attend!


WHO FROM MY TEAM SHOULD ATTEND?

The 2-1-1 Leadership Summit is designed for CEOs and Vice Presidents of United Ways and 2-1-1 agencies. We need your expertise to map strategies and we need your engagement to make it happen.


I AM STAYING FOR THE AIRS CONFERENCE. IS THERE SOMETHING IN BETWEEN?

The 2-1-1 Leadership Summit is Thursday and Friday, May 30-31. AIRS will begin their pre-conference sessions on Sunday, June 2. Consider attending the immersive workshop hosted by 2-1-1 San Diego on Saturday June 1st if you are staying for the AIRS Conference. Additional opportunities may be added, and all registered attendees will receive an update.

Don’t forget that the AIRS Conference will be at the Marriott Marquis hotel, so be sure to register separately here and arrive there on Sunday.


WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

It’s business casual (so look your best), but we will be asking your t-shirt size during registration for a reason! As with all conferences, you’ll probably be inside comfortable air-conditioned rooms all day and might need a sweater. The temperature outdoors in Atlanta will be around 83F during the day and 64F at night.

The content will be a mix of workshops led by leaders in the industry, sessions highlighting innovative work, and interactive forums where you will be key to helping us shape our strategies. Check out the schedule for current content.


WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?

We’re so sorry you can’t make it this year! Cancellations made on or before May 10 will be subject to a $100 cancellation fee; cancellations made after May 10 are non-refundable. To make changes or cancel your registration, please click here.


CAN I PAY WITH FLEXIBLE CREDITS?

Yes, you can! United Way staff and volunteers can pay for the event directly with flexible credits, and after the event can submit your travel, hotel and food expenses for reimbursement (within reasonable limits). Please note that only staff from United Ways eligible to receive flexible credits may use them at this event. United Ways outside the U.S. and Canada are not eligible for flex credit use.

Check your United Way flexible credit balance anytime. If you choose to use your flex credits to pay for this event, when you get to the payment screen while registering, choose “Flexible Credits."

HOW DO I CLAIM TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENT FROM MY UNITED WAY'S FLEXIBLE CREDITS?

If you would like to be reimbursed for your travel expenses from your flexible credit account, you can submit your expenses and they will be processed after the event. Each registrant will receive a digital travel reimbursement form about a week after the event ends. Once this form is sent, it must be completed within 15 business days, after which further reimbursements cannot be processed. You do not need to submit your receipts with this form, though we do encourage you to keep them for your records.


WHAT'S THE PER DIEM FOR THIS EVENT?

The per diem allowed when requesting reimbursement from flexible credits covers hotel and food expenses. For this event, the total per diem allowed for each attendee is $720.
