2020 Radiology Symposium
 

Learning Objectives






At the conclusion of the symposium, the participants should be able to:

  1. VARIANCE & PATHOLOGY: Increase diagnostic accuracy for improved treatment decisions based on emergency, pulmonary, obstetric and neonatal imaging studies.
  2. IMAGING PROTOCOLS: Assess vulnerable areas in stroke, prostate, rectal, and thyroid work-up and reporting practices, and implement at least one individual approach to improve within 30 days.
  3. CULTURAL: Consider population factors that impact risk, diagnostic interpretation, and/or prognosis.
  4. MEDICAL-LEGAL: Avoid pitfalls in common areas of risk in medical imaging.

 




Accreditation

Physicians - The Southern California Permanente Medical Group is accredited by the California Medical Association (CMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Southern California Permanente Medical Group designates this live educational activity for a maximum of 8.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.™ Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses and Physician Assistants – Attendees may report up to 8.25 hours toward continuing education requirements for license renewal. ‘CME’ can be written in lieu of the provider number on all licensure renewal applications.

The following Self-Assessment Modules are approved by the American Board of Radiology based on Kaiser Permanente’s SAM-deemed status, and qualified by the American Board of Radiology in meeting the criteria for self-assessment toward the purpose of fulfilling requirements in the ABR Maintenance of Certification Program.
