 Ryan Goodman - Keynote Speaker

Ryan Goodman is an agriculture advocate, cattle farmer, and endurance trail runner. Having worked in many sectors of the cattle business and leading national advocacy programs with upwards of 20,000 participants, Ryan uses his experiences to empower others in the agriculture community to connect with diverse audiences through advocacy efforts.

Ryan is a proud alumnus of Oklahoma State University and has been recognized as Advocate of the Year and a Top 10 Industry Leader by several agriculture organizations. His work sharing the stories of farmers and ranchers has appeared in industry and national media publications.

When not on the road or in the pasture working with cattle, Ryan can often be found in the mountains trail running, completing 100-mile ultramarathons, and enjoying a good steak at the center of his plate. Ryan lives in southwest Virginia where he raises cattle with his partner, Aaron, and invites you to connect with him online as @BeefRunner.

Jim Bair, President & CEO
U.S. Apple Association

Jim Bair has been president & CEO of U.S. Apple Association since 2014 and has amassed a following on LinkedIn through his entertaining and informative posts. U.S. Apple is the trade association of the nation’s 26,000 apple growers and their partners who store, pack, market, process and export the annual 265 million bushel crop, an industry which generates $21 billion in economic output as America’s most consumed fruit.
Jim has more than 35 years of experience managing food and agriculture organizations, specializing in international trade, biotechnology, food safety and the environment. He was raised on a northwest Iowa grain and livestock farm, which has been in the family since 1909, and graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in agronomy – the science of plant genetics, soil and weather.

Johnna Miller, Senior Director of Media & Advocacy Training
American Farm Bureau Federation

As a member of AFBF’s training team, Johnna fills a unique training role that stems from her previous life as a general assignment reporter for television stations in Charleston, WV and Greenville, NC. She now uses her media background to design and offer media, advocacy and social media workshops to states and outside organizations. She is also the coordinator of AFBF’s Partners in Advocacy Leadership program and co-coordinator of the Grassroots Outreach Team.
She spent 12 of her 21 years at AFBF in the Communications Department, where she produced podcasts, radio and video stories on top of her media training duties. Prior to moving to Washington, DC, she worked for the Virginia Farm Bureau.  Johnna is a Colorado native and graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcasting and film. (And she’s a big Denver Bronco fan.)

Donna Moenning, Speaker and Trainer
The Center for Food Integrity

Donna Moenning’s career in marketing and communications has always been rooted in food and farming. She joined The Center for Food Integrity in 2013 after nearly nine years with Midwest Dairy Association serving as their team lead for Integrated Communications.
For three decades, Donna has been sharing her skills in strategic planning, issues management, project management, video production and communication training. She believes all effective communication begins with understanding your audience, which is why she values CFI’s consumer trust research.
Donna is an empowering speaker and trainer, having presented to hundreds of producers, university experts, industry representatives, agricultural youth, food companies and agriculture organizations through the years and across the United States. Donna is a graduate of South Dakota State University in agricultural journalism where she was named an outstanding alumnus in Journalism in 1995. She lives on a crop and livestock farm with her husband in Southeast Minnesota.

Jordan Henry, Director of Leadership & Organizational Training
American Farm Bureau Federation

Jordan joined American Farm Bureau in 2019. She provides internal consulting and training services for Farm Bureau organizational development and develops strategies for strong programs. She also manages AFBF’s online learning management system, Farm Bureau University.
Jordan previously worked for the National FFA Organization as an Education Specialist for advocacy and literacy and was a Program Manager on the living to serve team, as well as a conference trainer. Jordan has a degree in community development from Central Michigan University.
