On behalf of the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions, we invite you to meet the ASU cohort of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders (YALI) Leadership in Public Management Institute and to forward this invitation to anyone who may be interested in meeting the Mandela Washington Fellows.  The Mandela Washington Fellows will meet with our community from 3:30-5:00 pm on Friday, June 17, at the Arizona Center Tower, 7th Floor.

The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders is a U.S. Department of State program that Watts College has hosted annually since 2014, with the exception of 2020 because of the pandemic.  This year, the Mandela Washington Fellowship will be held from June 8-July 16.  We are expecting 25 Fellows from 20 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa; they are between 24-36 years of age.  The Fellows will be prepared to share a little bit about their backgrounds and their areas of interest.

If you will need parking for the event, we can validate parking at Heritage Square Garage, 501 E Monroe St, Phoenix.  Please bring your parking ticket to the event.  From the Heritage Square Garage, you would need to walk to the Arizona Center Tower at 400 East Van Buren Street; refer to the map below.  You do not need to sign in with security.  Use the elevator bank to right of security, and exit on the 7th Floor.
