Heart & Soul Award

The highest professional honor bestowed in the Midwest Region is the Heart and Soul Award, presented annually to a professional who has demonstrated long devoted service and served as an advocate for youth.

Tom Burt Pacesetter Award

Named for Tom Burt, former Executive Director, Boys & Girls Clubs of Bay County, Bay City, Michigan; this award is presented annually to any non-CEO who has supervisory responsibilities and who motivates, guides and supports the professional and personal development of other professionals.

Horizon Award
 

Presented annually to the Chief Executive Officer with five or more years of experience in the Boys & Girls Club Movement who exemplifies professionalism through their work, organizational development and advancement of the Movement regionally and nationally.

Vision & Spirit Award

Presented annually to a Boys & Girls Club professional who has served in the Movement less than five years and who has provided impetus for the advancement of the Movement.

John Alesch Outstanding Program Staff Member Award

Named for John Alesch, a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America family for over 30 years, who was known for his integrity and compassion: this award is presented annually to an outstanding program staff demonstrating the characteristics of a successful youth development professional.

Outstanding Board Volunteer (Heart of the Region) Award

 This award is presented annually to a Midwest Club Board Volunteer who has demonstrated initiative, imagination and responsibilities to their community and has shown extended and devoted service on behalf of Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Midwest Region.
