Guests attending LAS FUT may have the option to partake in a pre-planned Sunday activity. While registering, you will be asked which activity appeals to you the most. Activity selection will be based on guest input and interest. Below you will find all of the activities currently offered. Official transportation will not be provided for these activities, but Uber may be on hand for guests who are interested in attending. Due to capacity, each guest may only select one trip for one of the dates listed.
Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park:
One of the world’s most significant botanic and sculpture experiences, Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park serves nearly 650,000 visitors annually. Meijer Gardens was recently ranked in the top 100 most-visited art museums worldwide by Art Newspaper, the leading publication in global art news. The 158-acre grounds feature Michigan’s largest tropical conservatory; one of the largest children’s gardens in the country; arid and Victorian gardens with bronze sculptures by Degas and Rodin; a carnivorous plant house; outdoor gardens; and a 1900-seat outdoor amphitheater, featuring an eclectic mix of world-renowned musicians every summer. The internationally acclaimed Sculpture Park features a permanent collection from world-renowned artists and sculptors. In June 2015, the 8–acre Richard and Helen DeVos Japanese Garden at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park opened. Created by renowned designer Hoichi Kurisu, the garden features sculpture by Anish Kapoor, Jenny Holzer, Zhang Huan and Guiseppe Penone, among others.


Grand Rapids Downtown Museums:
Grand Rapids is the proud home to a variety of unique and exciting museum facilities. Downtown Grand Rapids alone contains five museums within a few blocks of each other: the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum, Grand Rapids Art Museum, Grand Rapids Children's Museum, Grand Rapids Public Museum and Urban Institute of Contemporary Arts. Appealing to all ages, these museums are sure to awaken the senses and introduce you to the history, culture, beauty, and liveliness that makes Grand Rapids one of the best cities in the West.



Downtown Grand Rapids YMCA:
The YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids offers recreational programs and services for kids, teens, adults and families. Designed to be a "destination Y", the David D. Hunting YMCA radiates energy and excitement by physically and visually connecting people and spaces, both within the facility and to passersby. Take time out of your busy schedule to relax in the hot tub, swim a few laps in the pool, join a team with a game of volleyball, or take a few laps around the indoor track. Here you will find a variety of recreational activities and classes to relax and reinvigorate your mind and body.
