Description
Visit California China plans to focus on airlines for its trade co-ops in FY15/16 in light of the 44% airlift increase expected in 2015. Each airline partnership will involve up to six key tour operators for product development. Airlines that increased services to California have already budgeted abundant marketing funds for promotion. By leveraging their marketing efforts, Visit California will be able to broaden marketing channels and create a higher Return on Investment for California partners.

- Visit California China will leverage United Airline's (UA) marketing initiatives to develop a co-op with six key Shanghai tour operators to promote California.
- Planned for spring 2016, Visit California China secured China Eastern Airlines' support in special rate for partner tour operators California in-depth product development for groups and FIT packages.
- Marketing activities in Shanghai include database marketing, agent training, travel trade familiarization, print & digital advertising, social media etc.
