Kristy Archer

Kristy has grassroots experience leading the design, build and support of successful SharePoint implementation projects for SharePoint for intranet and document management across a range of industries. She has done excellent work in energising groups who are charged with developing and then running intranets. Kristy is an outstanding SharePoint trainer, running group training sessions, workshops, coaching and floor-walking. Her BA skills include taxonomy development, design and build of PRA compliance grade SharePoint sites. Kristy's friendly and knowledgeable approach has made her a firm favourite in our SharePoint technical team. In her spare time, Kristy enjoys sandpit sessions and reveling in the chaos that is being a busy working mother of three.

Nicki Brady

Nicki joined Horowhenua District Council (HDC) in 2012 as Senior Information Management Officer and has since been appointed Chief Information Officer. Nicki has brought a new way of thinking and approach to her role bringing Information Management to life at HDC. Over the past 18 months she has worked to set direction and build a solid foundation for her team to improve service delivery, deliver time and cost savings and ensure Council information is accessible and accurate at all times.

Until recently Mike was employed as the Information and Democratic Services Manager at Porirua City Council. He is currently consulting and contracting in information management. Mike represents ALGIM on a number of standards committees and has been involved in the development of ISO TR 18128:2014 Risk assessment for records processes and systems and the current review of ISO 15489.

David Clapperton

David has been in Local Government for over twelve years, where he has held senior roles in two different Councils.  David also has significant private sector experience where he was General Manager Sales and Marketing for Farmers Mutual Group for several years, and has also held various marketing and accounting roles prior to that.  In July 2013 David Clapperton was appointed Chief Executive of Horowhenua District Council, following seven years as Strategic and Corporate Services Manager. His unique leadership style offers an innovative and fresh perspective to Local Government.


 
Renee Coutts

Renee has been part of the Information Management team at Waipa District Council for almost two years where she is one of two Information Management Analysts. The team also consists of four Information Management Officers and their Supervisor, Andrea. Renee is currently focusing on the implementation of the Council's classification project, as well as the retention and disposal of both physical and electronic documents. She is the system administrator of the Council’s EDRMS, TRIM. Renee’s role involves meeting the everyday demands of a solutions focused team coupled with collaborative engagement with her customers.

She led the Records Management Workstream for the ATA during the amalgamation of Auckland councils, and currently leads a team of 85 information professionals covering records, archives and digitisation management, LIMs provision and data validation and repair.

Mike Eyal

Mike Eyal is an expert with more than 25 years’ experience in the development and marketing of data security. During his career Mike was Sales Director for Europe at ARX and General Manager of the Fundtech Asia Pacific branch in Singapore. In 2002, Mike was involved in a start up development of 2 factor authentication, established TME Consulting Ltd as a specialist of Digital Signatures Solutions in Australia and New Zealand, and in 2008 founded Secured Signing Software as a Service (SaaS).

He was Winner of the 2010 Westpac ENS Business Excellence Award for Research and Development, and Finalist for the 2011 NZ High Tech Awards. Mike has an MBA from the University of South Australia.


 
Andrea Houlihan

Andrea is the supervisor of the Information Management team at Waipa District Council (WDC), based in Te Awamutu. She has worked at WDC for almost five years, and in the capacity of supervisor for almost three of those years. With the successful achievement of digitisation of WDC’s complete property file collection, and the highly electronic environment in which the records keeping and management of information now predominantly operates, Andrea enjoys working closely with her team and colleagues to continually reap the benefits this new arena has to offer all Council’s customers in terms of service, efficiency, risk management and overall good business practice.


 
Adrian Humphris

Adrian is Team Leader for City Archives at the Wellington City Council, where he has been for over 21 years. He is currently seconded to the EDRMS Upgrade Project as Information Architect, where his focus is on developing and implementing a new records classification and metadata model, retention and disposal scheduling, and configuring the archive collection. Adrian was the inaugural ALGIM Archivist of the year in 2009, and is on the NZ Council for RIM Professionals Australasia.

Olivia finished her B.A. (Hons) in English and History at the University of Canterbury last year. Her love of records comes from her History background - she spent time doing a research internship for the Friends of the Linwood Cemetery, and class trips to Archives New Zealand. It is this passion for well-kept records that led to her getting a job at Waitaki District Council as Records Management Support for their EDRMS project. Olivia has had to learn SharePoint on the job, and has since been involved in taxonomy mapping, staff training, configuring existing SharePoint sites, and site building. Moving from Christchurch to Oamaru in December was a big step, but it was well worth it as Olivia is loving her new job. In her spare time she has been enjoying renovating her first home- another perk of the move to Oamaru!

Mike Manson

Mike Manson is both the CEO of ALGIM, and Business Development Executive for the Palmerston North City Council and has a passion for Local Government and the contact centre sector.   He has served in numerous roles spanning a 32 year career in Local Government, from IT Management to Customer Services Manager as well as serving six years as President of ALGIM.  This role saw him deliver addresses to international audiences from New York to London as well as attend an international gathering of Local Authorities in Chicago.


 
Andrea McIntosh

Andrea has been a part of the Whangarei District Council team for about four and a half years, and has a background in Information Technology, Marketing and Information Management in general.
She has a passion for Information Management that has been with her from very early in life, much to the delight of her siblings when board games were shelved "in appropriate categories".
Andrea is currently working through the delivery of information management aspects of an Information Services Strategic Plan which includes data architecture and digitisation.

Lesley has been involved in the information management field with Local Government for over 30 years. Lesley's current role is Manager Administration Services/Project Manager at New Plymouth District Council. As a Project Manager Lesley was responsible for the planning and monitoring of the Kaizen trial at NPDC. As an Administration Manager Lesley is responsible for the electronics and paper records and archives at NPDC. Lesley is a member of the ISO TC 46/SC11 International Review Group.

Gillian Oliver teaches archives and records management at Victoria University of Wellington. Before becoming an academic, her professional practice background spanned information management in the United Kingdom, Germany and New Zealand. Her research interests reflect these experiences, focusing on the information cultures of organisations. This is a key component in the reconceptualization of records management as recordkeeping informatics.

Rachel Petrus Voller

Rachel is a Senior Policy Analyst at Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) where for the last couple of years she has been leading a project to gain cross-agency support for investigating a Better Property Services future.  LINZ commissioned economic analysis in 2013 to investigate the economic benefits of this future to New Zealand, and has established cross-agency governance arrangements to jointly work together on this programme.

Lea Reid

Lea Reid has been involved in the IM industry for just over 20 years, and all at the Dunedin City Council. While fulfilling various roles during this time the challenges of keeping ahead of constant change is one of the many things keeping her within the Local Government environment. Never more so than in the past two and a half years when she undertook the role of Programme Management for the DCC’s “Digital Workspace” programme.

John Roberts supports the Government Chief Information Officer in transforming the use of ICT in government to deliver better public services in the digital era for all New Zealanders. John’s role is to lead strategic engagement with state sector agencies to support the GCIO’s goals.

John has previously held a range of operational, policy and senior leadership roles. Primarily working at Archives New Zealand, he has been involved in all-of-government information management and e-government initiatives for over 20 years. He holds an MA from Victoria University of Wellington, and a Masters in Information Management and Systems from Monash University in Melbourne.


 
Gerard Rooijakkers

Having been responsible for Information Management as manager of internal affairs with local authorities in The Netherlands for two decades, Gerard joined Auckland City Council in 1999 as their Corporate Records and Information Manager. He then managed Scion’s Knowledge Centre in Rotorua before joining Auckland Transport in July 2011. At Auckland Transport Gerard is responsible for the management of information, administered in several major software applications. The organisation’s objective to fully operate in electronic form provides many challenges as well as opportunities in a very dynamic environment. Gerard is an Associate Member and NZ Director of Records and IM Professionals Australasia.


 
Cassie Rowe

Hailing from the small town of Dannevirke, Cassie initially grew up wanting to be an actress. After 20 years of education, and a number of career goal changes later, she has a Certificate in Performing Arts, a Bachelor of Communications and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business and Administration. She has worked in student politics, theatre, hardware and DIY. She's been a barista, a bar tender, a walking billboard, a radio dj, a columnist for the student newspaper and part of a rent-a-crowd. She has worked with ALGIM for three years now and attends all ALGIM events as Gee’s assistant. Outside of ALGIM, Cassie is a self-proclaimed Prima Ballerina, and the coolest Aunty ever to 3 gorgeous nieces.


 
Lynley Scott

Lynley has a passion for records which began when she joined MSD Work and Income for 15 years and then changed to Local Government working for Queenstown Lakes District Council and now Waitaki District Council. Lynley has experience working with TRIM and now Sharepoint - assisting with taxonomy workshops, training, floor walking, while also taking care of the day-to-day records management R&D and managing her purchasing duties. In Lynley’s spare time she enjoys a long cruise in her '68 Fastback Chevy Impala.


 
Dr Susan Skudder

Susan Skudder co-founded Skudder Wilson Information Management (SWIM Ltd) in 1997. She has worked in information management since 1986, including eight years at National Archives of New Zealand. Susan gained her D.Phil in New Zealand History from the University of Waikato and her Diploma in Archives Management from the University of New South Wales. Susan has worked on several modules for the ALGIM Information Management Toolkit, and has consulted on various aspects of information management with many councils in New Zealand. Susan regularly presents at industry conferences and events and is a recognised trainer and facilitator.
