Departing Wrest Point Casino at 8am, we travel by luxury coach to Barnbougle Dunes Golf Links. Along the way we stop at Bothwell to play a few holes on the oldest course in the southern hemisphere. Play the 18th with hickory shafted clubs and old fashioned golf balls known as ‘featheries’. Steeped in golfing history, Bothwell is also home to the Australasian Golf Museum. Enjoy a gourmet lunch while you marvel at the most stunning collection of golfing memorabilia outside of St Andrews in Scotland. Following lunch we stop in at Nant Distillery for a unique tour of the distillery, giving you an insight into how our early pioneers settled the Nant and of course some delicious tastings will be on offer. Just over two hours to Barnbougle Dunes where we will arrive in time for a stunning sunset. Time to refresh and settle in before a welcome dinner featuring the freshest local produce. (B,L,D) Day 2 Sunday 16 January Enjoy a hearty breakfast before testing your skills on the famed Barnbougle Dunes Golf Links, rated Australia’s number 1 public access course. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure and take a scenic walk along the beach, try your luck with a spot of fishing or tee it up again for a 9 hole skins competition. Dinner is at your leisure. (B) Day 3 Monday 17 January Be one of the first to experience the brand new course “The Lost Farm” at Barnbougle Dunes. With as much variety in contour and landscape each golf hole will have you wanting to come back for more. We depart Barnbougle Dunes for Launceston stopping along the way at the multi award winning Jansz Champagne House and neighboring Pipers Brook Vineyard for sumptuous tastings and a gourmet lunch. Late afternoon check-in at the Country Club Resort Casino. Evening at leisure. (B,L) Day 4 Tuesday 18 January Breakfast at leisure before we play the picturesque Country Club Tasmania course boasting an international standard 18 hole golf course. This afternoon there is ample time to explore Launceston’s city sights and attractions or tee it up for the last time in our optional 9 holes skins challenge. This evening we have presentations for our golfing winners and enjoy the company of new friends in the stylish Links Restaurant for our final dinner. (B,D) Day 5 Wednesday 19 January Breakfast is included before a 10am transfer to Launceston airport for your flight home. We recommend departures after 11am.
