Travel to Los Cabos


Air Travel

You will be responsible for booking your own flights for the 2017 Doctor Symposium. The closest airport to the resort is Los Cabos International Airport, airport code (SJD). For more information, please visit the Los Cabos International website.

Ground Transportation in Mexico

Transportation to/from the Los Cabos International Airport will be provided at no additional cost if you are arriving on Wednesday, February 8 and departing on Sunday February 12. Once you have booked your flights, please email your flight numbers, airline and trip dates to info@doctorsymposium.com

Should you choose to arrive early or extend your stay, you will be responsible for your airport transportation. The cost of a one-way transfer to/from the Los Cabos International Airport is roughly $100 USD.

Traveling to Mexico

To ensure your travel plans are a hassle-free experience when passing through foreign borders, please have the following forms completed on your arrival:

Tourist visa (provided by airline staff)
Customs declaration card (will be provided by airline staff)

After you exit the plane, you will have to pass through an immigration booth. They will check your passport, customs declaration and tourist visa. You will receive a temporary visa that must be presented upon your departure from Mexico back to the U.S. If you do not have this documentation upon your departure, you will be subject to a fine of $30.

Passport Information

Please ensure your passport does not expire for at least six months beyond the trip dates.  If your passport expires within six months after your travels, you must renew your passport prior to your trip.  The following guide will prepare you to apply for a new U.S. passport, whether it’s your first time applying or you need to renew, please follow visit the US Department of State website.
