The SBL International Meeting is held annually outside North America. It
provides a unique forum for international scholars who are unable to
attend the North American meeting. This year, we will be meeting in partnership with SABS, KOTS, KNTS, and Korean Biblical Colloquium. We hope to see you at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, July 3-7, 2016.
The SABS Annual Meeting will take place on Saturday, July 2 on the theme “Moving Margins: Biblical Studies in 21st Century Asia." This meeting which
will be held at the Methodist Theological University, Seoul. The day's
program will begin with introductions and two keynote presentations by
Prof Elaine Wainwright, the President of the Society and Prof Kyung Sook
Lee, followed by a couple of concurrent sessions and a business meeting
in the afternoon and evening. The day will end with dinner.
We hope to see you at MTU in Seoul, South Korea, July 2, 2016.
The opening session will occur in the late
afternoon on Sunday, July 3 and will be followed by the opening reception.
Program unit and other sessions will begin the morning of Monday, July 4 and
continue through the morning of Thursday, July 7.
