MT 3.0 - What is it?

It’s hard to achieve year-on-year savings in a mature travel programme yet cost management remains a key driver. We need to challenge our thinking to increase traveller engagement in order to improve compliance and programme results.

Join us in Stockholm and discuss the future of travel management with your peers. Hear about new trends and ideas from industry experts.

Session 1: Increase Traveller Engagement to Increase Policy Compliance
Surveys prove that travel policy compliance is generally lower than companies would like. Whether the policy is mandated or simply encouraged, if it is just posted to the company intranet, you should not be surprised if compliance is lower than you would hope. Corporations need to engage travellers and bookers effectively, communicating through a variety of channels, pushing information at the point of need, and guiding stakeholders to help them understand what best practice looks like. In this session, we will discuss a variety of communication angles and channels to find what works best now and what may work better in the short term.

A panel discussion moderated by Anders Bohlin, ‎Director, Client General Management & GM Nordics, American Express Global Business Travel

Session 2: Self-Service - What Are Your Expectations?
Self-service booking has long been heralded as a solution to reduce operating costs and point of sale prices, but what should we be looking for in today’s online solutions? What happens to your company platform when it is announced that a technology product you use will be mothballed? In this session, we will hear how companies are developing online products, whether they are engaging corporate travel buyers in the development cycle to deliver what you need, and how the distribution landscape is changing to enable access to content through a multitude of platforms.

Session 3: Ideas Incubator - Reinventing the Managed Travel Function
The aim of this session is to stimulate and harness creative thought. If you had a blank canvass to create the next generation of travel management service, what would be on your wish list? What would it look like? Who would it engage? What platforms would it use? This is an opportunity to bring outlandish ideas to the table from which a germ of real opportunity may grow. This is a chance to tell your suppliers where to invest their research to help make the impossible possible, using technology that may not be invented today but may very soon become a reality. Get involved and help us share the wisdom of the masses!
