Ed is General Counsel to AIG Investments which manages and invests AIG’s assets for superior risk-adjusted returns. AIG Investments operates through a network of regulated entities that provide investment advisory, capital management and broker-dealer services globally.  

The AIG Investments Legal Dept. comprises 35 attorneys located in offices across the U.S. and Europe. Individual attorneys have specialized practice areas, but the department as a whole supports a full range of investment and capital markets transactions.  

Ed is a long-standing member of the American College of Investment Counsel, presently serving as a member of the College’s Board of Trustees. He joined AIG in 2000. He is licensed to practice law in New York and Texas and is a Certified Public Accountant.

 
Luisa Menezes

Luisa Menezes is Vice-President and Associate General Counsel, Latin America & Canada, for Philip Morris International, Inc. since July 2010. Luisa joined Philip Morris International in December 1996 as Counsel for Tabaqueira S.A. in Portugal, when this company was acquired by Philip Morris International. Luisa was appointed Counsel for Philip Morris Europe in Switzerland in 1998 and, in 2001, returned to Portugal for three years as Senior Counsel for Tabaqueira S.A.. In 2005 Luisa was appointed Assistant General Counsel for Latin America & Canada and moved to New York, United States, and held this position through June 2010. Luisa’s in-house counsel experience spans a wide variety of legal matters, including among others, consumer protection, marketing and advertising, merger & acquisitions, employment and collective bargaining, data protection and privacy, and competition law. She is responsible for giving legal support to the Latin America & Canada Region, for the continued development of the people in her team, and for the organization and management of the LA&C Law function. Part of her role is to actively collaborate with her Regional Management Team peers, sharing her opinions beyond legal advice. Luisa holds a graduation degree in Law and a Post-Graduation diploma in European Law from Universidade Católica, Lisbon. She has also attended several management and leadership courses, including the Management Program for Lawyers at Yale School of Management. Luisa is a member of the Advisory Board of The Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Profession. Luisa is Vice-Chair of the International Corporate Counsel Committee (ABA Section of International Law).
 
Dee Sekar

Dee Sekar is a UK qualified solicitor and Corporate Counsel & Global Diversity Editor at Chambers & Partners. For the last 3 years, Dee has worked extensively on the Chambers Women in Law programme. She created the Chambers Women in Law blog which has established a global online discussion and community of female lawyers. In September 2013, Dee devised the Chambers Women in Law seminars. To date, she has moderated nine Women in Law seminars in the USA and Latin America. In just under a year, Dee has created a strong working relationship with hundreds of in-house lawyers in the USA and Latin America and works closely with the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession, DirectWomen, Juridico de Saias (Brazil) and Association of Corporate Counsel (Brazil). In January 2015, Dee launched the Chambers Diversity program which encompasses gender, minority lawyers, LGBT, physical and social mobility and corporate social responsibility in the legal profession. Through research, seminars and awards, Chambers Diversity will be bringing a unique perspective to global diversity in the legal profession. Covering UK, Europe, Asia, USA and Latin America, the programme will give a platform to the most outstanding lawyers who have shown a real commitment to advancing diversity in the law. Chambers Diversity will also investigate the recruitment, retention and promotion of diverse lawyers in companies, law firms and barristers' chambers and will monitor this progress over time.

Renee Wilm is the deputy head of the corporate department in Baker Botts’ New York office. She counsels clients on a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, complex capital structures and shareholder arrangements. Ms. Wilm represents issuers in traditional offerings of equity and debt securities in both U.S. and international markets as well as in unique capital restructurings. She advises clients in matters of corporate governance, securities law compliance and stock exchange listing compliance, and assists companies in structuring executive employment arrangements. She is recognized for her skills on issues involving the use of “tracking stocks.”
