In that role, he led the investigation and prosecution of many high-profile securities enforcement matters, including a significant number of cases as part of the largest crackdown on hedge fund insider trading in U.S. history. Marc supervised and investigated a wide array of securities cases, including in the areas of insider trading, corporate fraud, complex and structured financial products, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), offering fraud and fraudulent investment schemes, asset management fraud, broker bribery, market manipulation, and abusive high-frequency trading practices.

Austin Berglas Head of the U.S. Cyber Investigations and Incident Response Practice K2 Intelligence Austin P. Berglas is Senior Managing Director and head of the U.S. Cyber Investigations and Incident Response practice at K2 Intelligence. He brings deep investigative experience in counter intelligence, national security, criminal cyber investigations and incident response to K2 Intelligence. Before joining K2 Intelligence, Austin served as Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Cyber Branch in the New York Office (NYO), where he oversaw all national security and criminal cyber investigations in the largest cyber branch in the FBI. Among the high profile, joint and international operations he managed were the dismantlement of the Blackshades organization and seizures of numerous TOR based sites including Silk Road and Silk Road 2.0. Most recently, he led the criminal investigation into the computer network attack against JPMorgan Chase and established the Financial Cyber Crimes Task Force, the FBI’s first joint effort with the New York City Police Department (NYPD) and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) to combat cyber threats and high technology crimes affecting New York City and the nation. Prior to being named ASAC of the NYO’s Cyber Branch, he was designated as an Assistant Inspector, Inspection Division, FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Friedlander Chief, Complex Frauds and Cybercrime Unit U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York Nicole Friedlander has been an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York since 2008 and currently serves as the Chief of the Complex Frauds and Cybercrime Unit. In that role, she oversees the investigation and prosecution of nationally significant cybercrimes and sophisticated financial frauds. Nicole has recently overseen groundbreaking cyber prosecutions including the takedown of the underground “Silk Road” drug trafficking website and the successful trial of its owner; the prosecution of Liberty Reserve, a popular digital currency service, and its principals, in what is believed to be the largest international money laundering case ever; and the dismantling of the international “Blackshades” organization, which distributed malicious software enabling users to spy on victims in their own homes. Nicole also oversees major Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigations and prosecutions; domestic and international tax matters; and the prosecution of major financial frauds of all kinds. He is a member of the Incidents and Issues Review Sub-Committee and the Firmwide Insider Threat Steering Group and serves as secretary to the Firmwide Technology Risk Committee. He joined Goldman Sachs as a managing director in Technology Risk in 2013.
Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Kevin had a long career in the US government, where he served in multiple roles in a number of countries overseas and led a cyber-center. Kevin earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Dayton in 1983 and an MBA from Syracuse University in 1999.
