TRANSPORTATION

Transportation to/from the airport/railway station/hotel is the personal responsibility of all visitors.  The following information is provided to assist you in planning your personal travel itineraries:

                   By Air:

On arrival at Schiphol Amsterdam Airport there is an excellent train service direct to
The Hague Centraal Station (Den Haag CS) or The Hague Hollands Spoor (Den Haag HS).
The platforms are directly underneath the main terminal at the airport and are well signposted.

                    By Train:

Trains to Den Haag CS are direct and fast and depart at 29 and 59 minutes past the hour.  The journey normally takes about 30 minutes.  Trains to Den Haag HS depart at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour.  The journey takes about 35 minutes (www.ns.nl).).

                   Bus/Tram:

For bus and tram travel you will need a “Strippenkaart”.  You can buy these at the railway station (one card contains 15 or 45 “strippen”).  Alternatively, you may purchase a ticket on the bus or tram but this is slightly more expensive. On buses, the driver will stamp the “Strippenkaart” while on trams you will need to use the automatic on-board stamping machine.  At each tram stop, there is a notice board that displays information on how many tickets need to be stamped for your journey.
