Air travel
Air travel will be booked through our Cars.com travel agent, Kim Gigovski. Once you have completed your registration, Kim will contact you directly to book your flight. Please allow 2-3 days for her to process your registration and contact you. Once you have received your flight itinerary, please review it in detail to ensure the spelling of your name matches exactly to your government-issued passport. If you are planning to extend your trip at your own expense, please refrain from confirming your flight until you have received confirmation regarding hotel availability.
Traveling to Puerto Vallarta
To ensure your travel plans are a hassle-free experience when passing through foreign borders, please have the following forms completed on your arrival:
- Tourist visa (provided by airline staff)
- Customs declaration card (will be provided by airline staff)
After you exit the plane, you will have to pass through an immigration booth. They will check your passport, customs declaration and tourist visa. You will receive a temporary visa that must be presented upon your departure from Mexico back to the U.S. If you do not have this documentation upon your departure, you will be subject to a fine of $30.
Passport information
U.S. citizens traveling to Mexico and returning to the U.S. are required to present a valid passport. It is highly recommended that your passport be valid for six months beyond your return travel date.
For additional information you may visit travel.state.gov.
Ground transportation in Puerto Vallarta
Cars.com will provide round-trip ground transportation during the scheduled program dates (February 24-27) for you and your guest. Upon arrival at the Puerto Vallarta International Airport, you will need to pass through immigration, retrieve your luggage and then proceed through customs. After you have passed through customs, please proceed to the passenger pick up area and you will be met by a member of the IVI DMC2 Travel Company holding a President's Club 2015 sign. They will be wearing white slacks or skirts and a blue turquoise shirt.
Please be aware that after you have passed through customs, there will be two rooms you must pass through to get to the passenger pick up area. In these two rooms, you will be propositioned by timeshare salespeople under the guise of being "official” welcoming personnel and officers. Please say “No, gracias” and continue walking out the doors.
