Ruby Asturias is a partner at Pacheco Coto and Director of the Guatemala office of the law firm. She has extensive experience in corporate, labour, transactional tax, M&A, franchising, joint ventures and licensing law. Prior to joining Pacheco Coto, Ruby was partner and President of the Board of Directors of Central American law firm ACZALAW for over 12 years and before that she was a partner at Arias & Muñoz. Ruby holds an LLM from the Universidad Catolica de Chile, a Master’s degree in Taxes and Finances and a Master’s degree in Business Administration, both from Francisco Marroquín University. Ruby also completed a Finance Entrepreneurship Course at Tulane University and an Executive MBA with a focus in Legal Aspects of International Business at Georgetown University and The Central American Institute of Business. Ruby is the current Chair of the Latin America Council at the New York State Bar Association.

Allison is Regional Counsel for the Northeast and Latin American regions at Gensler, a global architecture and design firm. As part of her role, Allison provides legal advice, contract review, litigation management, training and general risk management to the New York, Morristown, Boston, Toronto, Mexico, Costa Rica and Sao Paulo offices of Gensler. Prior to joining Gensler, she was Vice President and Associate Counsel, Corporate at a global civil engineering firm. Allison's undergraduate degree is in Architecture with a minor in City and Regional Planning from UC Berkeley. She also has a Masters in Urban Planning from Columbia University and a Juris Doctor from Hofstra University. She is licensed to practice law in New York State. Allison is a board member of the Greater New York chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel, a member of the Executive Committees of the International and Corporate Counsel sections of the New York State Bar Association, where she is the co-chair of the Corporate Counsel Committee of the International Section and co-editor of the Inside newsletter which is the quarterly publication of the Corporate Counsel Section. Allison is also active with the Mayor's Art Council in her hometown of Westbury, Long Island, and a strong supporter of Jampact, Inc., a non-profit devoted to adopting and building schools in Jamaica, where her father was born.

Aurelien Cohen is a senior legal counsel at Danone, the leading multinational food and beverage company. He is in charge of M&A projects for the Americas and provides legal advice and solutions for Danone’s acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures in the region. Prior to joining Danone, Aurelien worked as a corporate attorney in Paris, France with Darrois, Villey, Maillot, Brochier and in New York, with Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz.  Aurelien holds a Magistere de Juriste d’Affaires-DJCE from the University of Paris-II Law School, a Master of Business Administration from ESSEC Business School in France, and an LLM from Columbia Law School.

Mariel Creo is the Director and Assistant General Counsel, Corporate and Investment Banking and Capital Markets Origination, for the emerging markets, Latin America and Caribbean regions at the Institutional Clients Group of Citigroup Global Markets. As part of her role, Mariel provides legal advice to capital markets origination as well as the corporate and investment bank, and the several business teams throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. She also counsels the several internal legal teams at Citi throughout Latin America on emerging markets cross-border transactions. Mariel holds a law degree from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) in Mexico, and an LLM from Georgetown University. Mariel is licensed to practice law in Mexico and New York.

Isaac (Ike) Osaki is General Counsel for the Latin America region of Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In addition, he is counsel to Global Markets Sales and the Agreements and Documentation Group with respect to traded products execution and to Global Banking & Markets with respect to recovery and resolution. Prior to his current role, Ike was the Chief Compliance Officer of Global Wealth & Investment Management, composed of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and US Trust, co-chief compliance officer of Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith and head of Registration and Licensing. He has also been the general counsel of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. Prior to that, Ike has been the general counsel for various investment banking and market businesses at Banc of America Securities. Before his in-house roles, Ike was an associate at law firms Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft and Locke Lord. Ike is a graduate of Rice University and Columbia Law School and a member of the New York and Texas bars and is FINRA Series 7, 14 and 24 registered.

Hernan Pacheco heads the Corporate Law and Intellectual Property Divisions of Pacheco Coto. He leads the teams of attorneys on all matters related to local and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, project finance, distribution, agency and franchise agreements, international trade, anti-trust, foreign investment and civil and commercial contracts. Hernan has extensive experience in cross-border transactions and has advised local and international clients on the acquisition of commercial and industrial groups, and with investments in Central America and abroad. He graduated (Law Licentiate) Cum Laude from the Autonomous University of Central America and has an LLM from the University of Hull, in the UK.
