Following the highly successful Quarry Industry Study Tours of Germany in 2007 and France in 2009, Trafalgar Tours and Global Connection are pleased to announce the 2011 Study Tour to Spain.
 
In 2011 Zaragoza, Spain hosts the 15th SMOPYC Trade Show and we have arranged a fully escorted trip in April for members of the quarry and related industries and their partners.  

SMOPYC is an international trade show of public works, construction and mining machinery, building products and building and construction materials

The tour is planned to have five components:
 
-    Site visit and presentation at Maxam’s head office in Madrid
-    Two days participation in SMOPYC 2011 in Zaragoza
-    Quarry or mine site visit near Barcelona
-    Site visits to a Maxam’s explosives factory in Galdakao
-    The opportunity for networking with other participants
 
 

Partner's Programme

As in the previous study tours, partners are welcome to attend the tradeshow and the site visits but are free to enjoy the sites of the various places we will be visiting.  The cities we are visiting are famous for their architecture, culture etc.  Where ever practical guided tours will be organised as part of the program, but there will also be ample free time available.
