Chair:  David Dixon - BDA - Sports Nutrition

Scott Robinson, PHd Researcher, University of Birmingham


Scott is a final year PhD student at the University of Birmingham where his research focuses on the significance of the inter-individual variability in fat oxidation during exercise in the context of metabolic health and exercise performance. Scott is also an exercise physiologist and nutritionist for Guru Performance Ltd.

Christopher Rosimus, Nutritionalist EIS with England Cricket


Chris is a registered sports and exercise nutritionist with has over 5 years’ experience providing performance nutrition support to elite, professional and recreational athletes. He joined the English Institute of Sport in 2011 to work as Performance Nutritionist for the England Cricket team. Chris also currently provides nutrition support to England Squash, Leicester City Football Club and ONE Pro cycling, alongside a lecturing position on sports nutrition, with Manchester Metropolitan University.

Prior to joining the EIS Chris was a performance nutrition intern at IMG Academies in Florida and worked as a nutritionist in Abu Dhabi with Manchester United soccer Schools. Alongside this, Chris has a football coaching background and currently holds UEFA qualifications. Chris has committed to enhancing athletes health and performance through effective nutrition coaching.

Rin Cobb, Clinical and Sports Performance Dietitian


Rin is a registered dietitian and Sport and Exercise Nutritionist (SENr graduate). She has worked in the NHS for several years covering a variety of clinical areas including renal, paediatrics and eating disorders.  Rin’s academic background started with a HND in Sports Science, which led her to obtaining a BSc (hons) in Sports Biomedicine from the University of Dundee. She then decided on a career as a dietitian so went on to attain an MSc in Dietetics at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh and later completed a PgCert in Sport and Exercise Nutrition at Coventry University to work as a sports dietitian. She splits her working week between the NHS and her own company Performance Nutrition & Dietetic (PND) Consulting, which she set up in 2012; specialising mainly in endurance type sports. Rin works with an interesting bunch of sports minded folk from ultra runners to adventure racers and triathletes to rowers intent on spending months on end in a boat, advising on nutrition strategies and providing nutrition packs to help them reach their potential. Rin herself has a love for the outdoors and very much practices what she preaches whether it be on expeditions, running across deserts or more recently triathlon.

Stephanie Ingram, Sports Nutrition Education Programme in Post primary Schools, Sports Nutritionist Dairy Council for Northern Ireland



Stephanie is currently the Sport and Exercise Nutritionist with the Dairy Council for Northern Ireland, developing and delivering a range of sports nutrition education programmes and practical workshops for young athletes. Through her role with the Dairy Council, Stephanie has provided nutrition support to several Ulster Rugby and Ulster Camogie Age Grade Squads, County GAA squads and All Ireland League Rugby teams.

During her BSc Sport and Exercise Science at Ulster University, Stephanie spent 2 years with the Sport Institute of Northern Ireland as a Placement Strength and Conditioning Coach providing support for the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games. Following graduation from her Masters in Sport and Exercise Nutrition, also at Ulster University, Stephanie consulted for the Irish Football Association contributing to the talent identification player development pack.

Dr Siobhan McArdle, Dublin City University

Siobhain McArdle PhD, CPsychol is a researcher, educator, cognitive behavioural therapist and sport psychologist.  She has bee involved in both research and clinical work related to eating disorders for over 15 years.  She has a particular research interest in optimising support services for athletes with disordered eating.
