Beatriz Beltranena

Beatriz Beltranena serves as Legal Director and General Counsel for Amzak Capital Management, a family-owned investment firm based in Boca Raton, Florida. She has been with the group since 2005 and is based in El Salvador. In her current post, she manages the legal departments, transactions and legal affairs of Amzak’s active investments including Tricom, S.A. and KPAQ Industries, LLC. Beatriz created, developed and structured the legal department of Amnet Telecommunications' operations and subsidiaries in Central America which were previously owned by Amzak and later sold and divested to Millicom-Tigo in 2008.
Beatriz was previously a Senior Associate at the Consortium-Delgado& Cevallos law firm where she was the manager of its Corporate Law Department. She has experience in managing international corporate transactions including securitizations, loan syndications, and mergers and acquisitions.
Beatriz was General Counsel and Country Compliance Officer of Citibank's branch in El Salvador from 1998-2005. She was also a lawyer of the Legal Department of Citibank in the Guatemalan branch from 1996-1998. 
Beatriz has a degree in Legal and Social Sciences (Cum Laude) from Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala, and is licensed to practice law in El Salvador. She is fluent in both Spanish and English.  
 
Violeta Longino

Desca-Grupo Amper
Violeta Longino is the General Counsel for Desca-Grupo Amper. She represents and advises the Spanish multinational public company in connection with its operations in Latin America and the United States. She is a dual-licensed multicultural attorney with more than 12 years of in-house and top tier law firm experience in the U.S. and Latin America. 
Ms. Longino has extensive experience in the areas of corporate and international law, with an emphasis on complex mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, financing transactions, including private-equity transactions and cross-border debt, and the formation of business entities in Latin America, Europe and the United States. Ms. Longino also has experience in transnational litigation and international arbitration including service of process pursuant to multinational conventions, the taking of discovery abroad, application of the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act, and enforcement of foreign judgments. 
Ms. Longino’s training, experience and understanding of numerous international legal systems provide her with a unique perspective on structuring transactions and with the ability to advise on multiple systems of law and jurisdictions. Before joining Grupo Amper, she was a lawyer in the Miami offices of Holland and Knight and Greenberg Traurig and also served as General Counsel for multinational public and private companies. Ms. Longino was also recently named a distinguished alumna by the University of Miami School of Law.  
 
Gustavo Lopez
Vice President and Regional Counsel
Discovery Latin America / US Hispanic
As Vice President and Regional Counsel, Gustavo Lopez manages all legal and regulatory matters affecting Discovery Latin America / US Hispanic (DLA). He also serves on DLA’s senior management team and is a key contributor to the overall strategic direction of the business. 
Prior to joining Discovery, Gustavo was Senior Director – Legal Affairs for the HBO Latin America Group, a joint venture between Time Warner, Sony Pictures, The Walt Disney Company and Ole Communications. Gustavo began his career as an attorney in the international corporate department of White & Case LLP, where he represented clients in various cross-border corporate, financing and acquisition transactions. 
Gustavo received his JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and a BA in History from the University of Miami. Gustavo has native fluency in both English and Spanish and is proficient in Portuguese. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade and the Television Association of Programmers Latin America (TAP), and serves as Chairman of the Legal Committee of the Latin America Multichannel Advertising Counsel (LAMAC).

Antenor Madruga is a partner at Barbosa, Müssnich & Aragão Advogados (BM&A), one of the top Brazilian corporate law firms, and heads the firm’s Corporate Ethics and Criminal Law practice. 
Mr. Madruga is a former Brazilian federal attorney and has held several positions at the Brazilian Government, including National Secretary of Justice, Director of the Department of Assets Recovery and International Legal Cooperation and Coordinator of the Brazilian National Strategy against Corruption and Money Laundering.
Mr. Madruga chairs the International Legal Cooperation Commission of the Brazilian Institute for Criminal Sciences – IBCCRIM and is a member of the board of the Brazilian Bar Association. He holds a Ph.D. in International Law from the University of Sao Paulo.

Dietmar W. Prager is a partner at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York and focuses his practice on international arbitration and white collar investigations. Dr. Prager has played a senior role in the firm’s representation of Siemens AG’s Audit Committee in connection with a world-wide investigation into possible corrupt payments to government officials; and of Ferrostaal AG’s Audit Committee in an extensive internal compliance investigation relating to allegations of corruption and other wrongdoing in several jurisdictions. As a member of the firm's international dispute resolution group, Dr. Prager has represented parties in numerous arbitrations under the auspices of ICSID, the ICC, the ICDR and the PCA as well as in ad hoc arbitration proceedings throughout the world with a particular concentration on Latin America.
