CEO Breakfast Session: Why it pays to invest in fundraising
When executed well an investment in fundraising can offer unrivalled returns compared to traditional investment strategies such as equities or property.

Cerebral palsy is not a cause most people would spontaneously support, yet through an aggressive investment program Cerebral Palsy Alliance has enjoyed a rise from $14m to $27m over a 5 year period, with strong growth still to come.

Investment is the key to sustainable fundraising growth and this session will provide case studies with real numbers and outcomes. So, if you’re considering or are sceptical about investing in fundraising, would like to know more or better understand what pitfalls to avoid, this presentation will prove invaluable.

Digital: Demystifying Digital; how to integrate digitally
Digital fundraising is surrounded in unnecessary mystery. Apps, devices, social platforms. Terms we hear about every day but do they actually make charities any money? For some. But for most, no.

You will pick up some ideas and tips for enhancing your next appeal as well as hearing what has worked (and what hasn't) for others. And even better - digital is low cost and perfect for small organisations to use.

Identify where digital can play a role in your individual giving program by hearing real examples of using voice, video, sms and email integration.

Multi-Channel Fundraising: Everyone is a potential donor
Everyone is a potential donor. But where are they hiding and how to engage them? While direct mail still leads new donor acquisition, there are other channels to consider to attract new supporters to your cause. Marcus and Marta will share their experience in acquiring, retaining and converting donors using multiple channels. Drawing on their experience and results at Guide Dogs SA/NT, Minda Inc and the Women’s & Children’s Hospital Foundation, the session will feature real-life case studies and results.

Marta Harbuzinska MFIA, General Manager – Fundraising, Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation

Martin will share with you the elements required to develop your bequest materials. The session will also look at how to use surveys to generate bequest leads and prospects from your database and how to appropriately follow up these prospects. Events: How to maximise event income with the power of digital
The digital world has breathed a new lease of life into fundraising events. Digital communications and technology at gala events has proven to dramatically lift revenue when combined with classic fundraising techniques. And the power of Facebook and other social media to reach target audiences has opened up a whole new way of marketing to acquire, retain and maximise the value of your event supporters.

Marcus will share a number of working examples highlighting how technology, social media and digital channels have seen mature plateaued/declining events rise again and transformed new mass participation campaigns.

Marcus Blease MFIA, General Manager Marketing and International Programs, Cerebral Palsy Alliance

Community Fundraising: 7 steps to a successful Community Fundraising Program
Are you looking for the next big thing to increase your revenue stream in your fundraising portfolio? What if I said you already have it but its gathering dust at the bottom of your shelf?

For many charities the Community Fundraising Program is an add on, something that just happens and it’s so adhoc it’s just too hard to manage. But there has been a surge in this traditional fundraising channel alongside Peer to Peer events.

Within this presentation Julie will highlight seven key principles that every successful Community Fundraising Program must have to become a strong and structured program. Core elements will cover data analysis, acquisition, retention, extension and extending strategies for long term growth.
