2014 Consensus Development

The objective of the Western Canadian Gastrointestinal Cancer Consensus Conference is to reach agreement on best practice in cancer management, using an evidence-based approach. At the same time, the conference is intended to provide educational and networking opportunities for the gastrointestinal oncology community across Western Canada. The consensus statement that comes out of the discussions at the conference can affect practice, and can serve as a tool for this community.

The creation of this consensus serves as justification for the provision of transportation and accommodation for all participants in exchange for a modest registration fee. To ensure the integrity of this meeting and the resulting consensus statement, it is imperative that all registrants participate actively in the discussions leading to consensus.

For this reason, we will be noting attendance at the consensus discussions, and charging an additional fee of $300 for those who do not take part. This notice is included in our registration policies, and is agreed to by accepting them. This charge does not apply to local delegates.
